Said if before and I’ll say it again… there’s not a lot to be proud of or positive about at the minute but Curtis is and absolute legend in my eyes.
he won’t get the plaudits of ex players who achieved a lot more but for the Wednesday game and sticking with us since I’ll always remember him as one of the best ?

Great post …. There’s going to be a reasonable crowd for the first time in a long while. We need to make the RIGHT type of noise .. forget the protests, forget the in fighting. We are all in this, every cheer counts.
We talk casually about “academy lads” .. Some of them have been playing 1st team football for a year now - in a echoing mausoleum - Meanwhile they have got stronger, growing, learning, they know what a fight is. Now; the first for many of them … they are going to have 20,000 fans on their side. Lets show them what we sound like and what it feels to have a stadium urging them Forward …. Let’s lift them to the ceiling, Let’s do this ! ????????????

I’ve spoken to David, he’s done his report, sent it to the club to check it’s ok with them.
The clubs not managed to get it signed off yet. One can only assume that they have other pressing matters, players contracts etc if you read what Mr Nixon has said.
I’m assured that there is some further detail to what’s already been released by the Punjabi Rams and Jim Wheeler on Radio Derby.
I was worried that everyone was waiting with baited breath only for the exact info to be in David’s report that was already out there anyway.
Please try and see it from his side, he’s piggy in the middle, and wants to make sure everything is ok with what’s in his report.
As far as I’m aware, due to David having to leave just before the end to catch the last train he missed an agreement to let Jim Wheeler do a piece to RD this morning.
But, that’s not what we go to the charter meetings for. We go to ask questions and to report to our members, not be a face to a joint statement.

David never put our name to a recent open letter to the club, and will never do so.
So please be patient, the timescale is out his hands, and he’s getting grief left right and centre on Social Media. In my opinion non of the other groups who were there are.  But that comes with us being the biggest group of Derby County supporters on the internet.
He’s losing his hair, what he has got doesn’t want turning grey.

It is still miles off. Smith bought in about 9 players that summer. We can’t bring in any. Smith bought players with some standing still. Van Der Laan was decent at Port Vale, Powell he knew from Portsmouth. We also had an experienced manager and one of the best young coaches in the game. That is miles off where we currently stand.

They're monitoring him, also Southampton almost bid for him last season. he plays regularly for Poland, so are they all wrong?
The fact is none of our attacking players did anything last season because we have a manager that kills every attacking aspect of our game and makes it impossible for any attacker to perform well.

Have you read the piece? I actually think it was interesting and maybe gives a little more insight into what happened - Think this bit gives me a bit more clarity than I had:
“There were three conversations with the EFL,” he says. “The first one was for proof of funds and to justify the movement between the banks. It had to be €75 million over a three-month period,” Alonso claims. “We would have meetings every Thursday. Initially, the EFL said it was OK, but they wanted to know the source of the funds. I said no problem, I provided all the information about the businesses and sent it to the organisation.
I'm a cynic - So in the absence of any real proof I choose to assume everyone is talking some level of nonsense
However - It seems to be the case that he was able to prove he had the money to buy the club (reading this and between the lines from the EFL) - And account with an amount of money in - The questions from the EFL seem to have been about where that money came from and whether it was a sustainable source of income - Then we get down to the EFL not buying into his sources of income and Alonso saying they're legit - At which point it's difficult to know who to believe without seeing the evidence myself
Seems the EFL have been overly cautious here - Which is interesting considering the current and previous owners of the chaps down the road - And decided that they didn't believe in the source of Alonso's income

He was 'OK', a good attacking option but brainless defensively, never got close to his man to stop crosses, was an irritating twit as a person and it genuinely made me feel uncomfortable watching him run.

It is decent shirt, but maybe bit too baseballish for a football team? Its's those thin stripes which does it. Footballers ain't fat like baseball players, they don't need thin stripes!

Simon Jordan seems to have a lot to say about Derby county and to me so much of it seems accurate and exactly what I'm interested to read.
On a number of topics he seems a good source of insights on Derby.

comparing someone who has never achieved anything in management and got us 7 points out of the last 45 available with a highly experienced manager who guided a newly promoted team in Ipswich (after 3 consecutive play off finishes) to a uefa cup spot before he took us over is laughable yes.
