Played on the wrong side now to accommodate a poor Lawrence. Sibley has not been good but he’s changed where he plays and it’s obvious

I think if MM told the truth about the situation we find ourselves in, it would send fans into a blind panic that we are doomed to relegation and maybe even administration.
I suspect Mel and others will be doing everything within their powers to mitigate the impact of any sanctions applied and taking extensive legal advice (which takes time).
Probably best we talk about Birmingham next Friday.

Some of the language I'm seeing on twitter is beyond ridiculous. Branding Mel Morris a 'disgrace' etc is really poor imo, the club has clearly been mismanaged, it's an omnishambles at the moment, but I don't think it's appropriate nor fair to use such harsh language. Fans need to understand that there is a fundamental difference between mismanagement and having malicious intent. The sort of owners I reserve that sort of language for are people like the Oystens at Blackpool or that bloke that put Wigan into admin, not Mel Morris.

GrimsbyRam reacted to angieram in Mental health of the most vulnerable fans ... if Derby are relegated
I wrote my comment because I think posters need to recognise that not everyone has the same capacity as them.
I think that the general tone of the Forum recently is greatly influenced by a few posters who are not only aware of their effect on others but take a certain delight in doing so. If I had my way, I would have removed them long ago but we have to tolerate all opinions. I have made a lousy moderator for this reason.
Now if you disagree with my assessment,  that's fine, but I find the forum a depressing place to be in recent months not because of the football but because of certain posters piling in with rhetoric that is not considered or balanced. I know from the circle of people that I speak to face to face, that they are discouraged from posting because of this. Me too. Now some would say that's no great loss and I would agree!
What I am saying is that if the Forum makes me feel like this, then it must make others likewise. I have spoken privately with people who think the club is going into administration because they have read it on here and that this will be the end of their club for ever.
They read and are affected by hysteria. That's what I think it is. I don't think it's healthy and I am trying to point that out. Maybe the problem is mine.

I'm so very very sorry to hear about your baby. People do not talk about miscarriage. We had four. And yet before then, I had not known anyone who had experienced one. There are so many things that we face alone, and which are still fairly taboo.
(I always light a candle for all four of my lost children when I visit a church.)
And I have a lovely son - although I often forget how lucky I am!
The suicide of your bother-in-law is terrible. I was close to doing so last summer.* It is quite extraordinary how the mind can work. And I am sorry for him and everyone affected.
    * And I've never told anyone else that - only you, and the forum!

I thought 2020 was a tough year, 2021 has been absolutely mental so far.
5 weeks ago my brother-in-law committed suicide and then last week my wife lost our baby whilst 4 months pregnant and we spent a rough couple of days in hospital having to still give birth. Tough times.
I was at least hopeful Wayne Rooneys Rams would cheer me up slightly on the Saturday, but it wasnt to be.
My escapism has always been the Rams, but at the minute it's like going on holiday to Normanton to get away from it all.

One point that everyone appears to be overlooking is....
This is unfair on Wycombe. How can they prepare for the new season not knowing which League they will be in? Do they go out and find new players so that they're competitive? And, if so, at what standard? Do they need to sell to make ends meet?

Astonished to see McClaren commenting on Uniteds defeat and giving his knowledgeable advice as to the urgent requirements Unitrd need to improve for next season .
I would have thought his mind would have been on the changes required for the Rams next season bearing in mind his part in this last tragic fiasco now playing out. Concentrate on the job ahead Steve and butt out of other clubs .

We didn’t need to be reckless - we had a nucleus of players only tweaks needed the chopping and changing of managers and players meant a mis match - there has been no continuity

The world is a confusing place. How has this man managed to get himself a foot in the door at Derby and got himself on talksport several times:
You barely have to look to find his history of ‘claims’.

HMRC always get first dibs. But anyone who is owed money will lose the vast majority of it. We are massively in debt so there is no credit to be shared out. It’s getting to the stage where I don’t care anymore. Can’t believe I’m saying that after 50 odd years as a fan. I feel totally indifferent to the club atm but developing a deeper loathing of Morris by the day.

My opinion Spanish. I have spoken to people who ironically mentioned this forum to me yesterday at the Racecourse, they said you wont get anywhere on here if you try and bash Mel. And you would be right I am bashing him and Pearce because they are the only people within Derby County Football Club that can give answers and reassure fans. Not that anyone feels they have the right to that mind, which is just weird but there you go... Perhaps thats how the modern day fan is nowadays, I dont know...

Anyone I have spoken to in person and on other platforms fully agrees that we should be getting answers from the top. Yet on here all anyone is bothered about is why I can't post certain info or they feel that Mel or our CEO dont have to answer to us. Don't get all defensive but that is how I see it as I read the replies.

The lads are not celebrating being 4th bottom, they have gone out to the fans who have been bothered to endure the weather to say thank you for the support.
If you don't want to celebrate your club managing to stay up, fine, Luckily most disagree.
It's not been good enough from the top down, I agree but we've survived relegation by the skin of our teeth and EVERY SINGLE CLUB would be doing the same if they were in our position right now.
Do you really think Sheff wed players would have just walked off the pitch if they won?...NO, they'd have been running round like we were.

I don't begrudge the players a bit of fun with the fans today at all.
We are  relieved, they must also be so relieved. I think they've missed us more than we have missed them.
They are just young lads who have been under a tremendous amount of pressure.
Thete will be time to sort it all out, some will be casualties of the awful season we've had, but they should enjoy themselves tonight.

GrimsbyRam reacted to LeedsCityRam in Rooney judged harshly vs Nigel Clough
Can only assume the OP is on a wind up. Rooney hasn't saved us. Marlon Pack saved us. Also he's clearly forgotten the state the club was in when Nigel Clough took over.
Wayne Rooney is the worst Derby manager since Phil Brown. We've won one game in 15...that's a third of a season. Anyone wanting him to stay is clearly obsessed with his celebrity as there's no footballing rationale for doing so.
