I do wonder about some on here. We were miles better than them and I lost count of how many cheaty little fouls they put in tonight that weren't carded. We were also the only side that looked like scoring all night. Does anyone really think they deserved a point tonight? I really don't get the mardiness from some quarters.

We should have been comfortable by half time 2 or 3 nil. Not brilliant, but a decent hard working performance and a deserved win.

Wouldn't have wanted me blood pressure taking near the end mind.

We are nowhere near capable of the dark arts like these sides, where do they learn it? Is it all they work on in training when they are due to play Derby?

  2. Twitters solved it......

she had an affair with tom kingston. he committed suicide on the same day kate middleton disappeared. she had a 'stomach operation' (abortion) because she was pregnant with tom's child.

  3. It just reinforces what we already know really.

Don't believe a word of what our main news outlets tell us.

At best its just a bad photoshop to try and make us think all is well with Kate when clearly its not. At worst its to take our attention from some other, far more important stuff thats going on that will really impact us.

I watched a U.K. politician being interviewed the other day ( can’t remember his name ) they got on the subject of the U.K. providing financial support for Ukraine and the public poss tiring of that , he proceeded to explain that that money was not just gifted to Ukraine, it was used to spend in U.K. manufacturing weapons , it provided jobs in U.K. and produced tax therefore being good for the U.K. economy, now whatever anyone may think on the rights and wrongs of Russia Ukraine conflict these politicians are getting so stupid / arrogant that they now openly state what most of us already knew / know but at least they used to have the sense to pretend and not blatantly tell us how good for us people being killed on other shores was for us 😥

Exactly mate. Rich people profit from war. Poor people die. That's why they do it.

Ok , I’ve tried to steer clear of the politics of this situation because frankly I don’t believe it’s helpful at this point but let me make it plain , anyone of my age , from my political background/ upbringing, with half a brain cell could not fail to know that the Palestinian people have been treated despicably by the western world for many many years ,at this point though I only care about how the hell we stop this ducking killing , since the 7 th there have been countless needless heartbreaking deaths on both sides,,, the numbers of deaths on either side are totally uneven because Isreal has the upper hand in the power balance , if hammas had the upper hand then that would be different again , still just adds up to innocent deaths

you get to my age and you just get sick of the bloody madness 🤷🏻‍♂️
I don’t feel the need to convince anybody of anything or think I’m anymore right or wrong than anybody else , I’m just giving an opinion on what I see

With you all the way Archie. Its nowt to do with politics to want to stop people killing each other. Well, it is politics i suppose due to the fact that all politicians of our main parties want the slaughter to continue.

Most non-politicians probably think we should do what we can to stop it.

Don’t quite know what happened earlier regarding the tickets for Bolton.

The four blocks in the East stand nearest the away fans went on sale briefly with about 300 tickets and when I looked a little while later they had gone, fairly sure they didn’t sell out that quickly.

    Currently showing 1,382 tickets left.

David Clowes needs to sort that out. The ones who complain about more passionate fans taking those empty seats should be offered a free season ticket to move elsewhere. I'm guessing the number is fairly small. maybe a couple of dozen at most, The value to the club having a noisy SE Corner to complement the SS and SW Corner would be worth the one off expense.

Way too early for not being in our own hands etc. A draw was the best result for us tonight.

I agree. There's still a lot of points to play for and no one will win every game, there will be surprise results and drama right through to the last couple of games.

Its going to be mighty close but there's no reason at all why we can't sneak that 2nd spot.

I don't disagree, the mass media are at one end, they have to sell their publications so sensationalise and stretch the truth to attract a paper purchase or online click. Then organisations such as declassified sensationalise and stretch the truth in the same way. With both of them they attract readers who are already leaning one way or the other. The truth usually lies somewhere between. The real truth is that most conflicts and particularly this one are as a result of religion.

Good points bcn although i would say most conflicts are about money, control of trade routes, fossil fuels, precious metals etc. maybe its dressed up as religious struggles but history tells us its always about money and power.

I expected something better than 6 Israeli officers have received training in Britain (probably at Sandhurst). The British military train officers from all over the World; it is normal for allies and considered as some of the best training available.

My first reply above is copied and pasted from Declassified's website - you can choose to read a bit more about it, or not, i have no problem either way.

I tend to not believe what i read much nowadays but sometimes you can make assumptions based on the balance of probabilities, a lot of stuff Declassified publish is directly from government quotes and FOI requests so i do find it interesting and even if half of their stuff is correct its still a lot more than you will find out through the mass media.

In what way are you suggesting this is happening?

U.K. is training Israeli military in Britain (declassifieduk.org)

The UK government has admitted that nine Israeli military aircraft have landed in Britain since the Hamas attacks of 7 October. The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has refused to say what those planes are carrying or what they are doing.

The Royal Air Force has sent 48 military aircraft to Israel since it began bombing Gaza. Declassified has further found that Britain has conducted 65 spy missions over Gaza from its vast military and intelligence base on Cyprus.

Almost none of this extent of UK military support for Israel is being reported in the British national media.

  11. Whatever your political positions are, there is no way you could call it a war. Palestine has no army, no navy and no air force. Israel has all these and military support from the UK, the EU and the US. We are flying regular sorties from our base in Cyprus to assist Israel in killing civilians in Palestine.

I have mates in the forces and they are not proud of what they are being asked to do.

    Counter point...

Arsenal are the first team in the Prem (since Sky invented football) to win three successive away games by 5 or more.

Good point. Arsenal, City and Liverpool can destroy far better teams than the Blades on any given day.

I remember years ago, loads of us piling into the back of a transit van and travelling all over the place. No seat belts or anything. You couldn't (shouldn't) do that now. Health and Safety gone mad. 😀

I've told this story before but its a good excuse to reminisce again........

1982, Grimsby away. One of our lads back then was a builder (RIP Reg "Buster" Baxter of Doveridge). He told us all he'd got a van for the trip, he was going to clean it Friday evening and pick us up at 7am saturday.

We didn't really think about it too much when he turned up in the pub on the Friday night but next day we found his claim that he was going to clean it a bit dodgy.

3 sat up front in comfort and 9 of us sprawled in the back of a van, a couple of folded Union Jacks the only seats and a fine layer of cement dust.

We arrived om Cleethorpes sea front and joined a kick around on the beach with a hundred or two Rams, Covered in sand and cement we'd of been like the Terracota Army if it had rained.

Memorable weekend all in all. Two of our group got arrested for relative minor stuff. The remaining 10 of us stopped in Skeggy the night and couldn't get in a pub due to the state of us. Ended up drinking tins on the beach and climbing into the amusement area, sliding down the multi lane slide thing at 1am. We had a rams flag up and many others joined us as the pubs emptied until some clowns pished down the slide and the police arrived.
