Other than Bird, who of the the 18 are not contracted to next season? Probably on another thread, but if someone (GoC) can confirm that would be good. Shame no Forsyth on the bench if he might be leaving too.
Fozzy was saying his contract was all but signed at the supporters evening I believe

Warne may have a top half budget if we go up, other teams with similar budgets will having a better starting point with ready made and experienced championship teams.
Top half will be a target, but not a failure if we didn't finish there.
The Championship is a very strong atm. I’d take bottom half without a relegation battle.

Depends if they take the Barnsley approach or the Cambridge approach. Last week were some of the soundest I’ve met.

I know it’s probably blasphemy… but some of these ‘funny’ anecdotes about Clough just make him sound like a nob.
Not really sure how I feel about ex players blatantly hamming up stories when he wasn’t well either

B4 April 2023, If ever we needed a rallying call, different game but the sentiment remains exactly the same!
Well calling all derby fans to get really really really behind the lads we need get behind the lads lets have wall of noise and have sea of black and white let's have scafs flags and balloons let's cheer lads on into the play offs. The louder we are the better lads play. Let burton players shake with fear and let them think what on earth have we got our selfs into here.
…………..no further comment required!
Good idea to go back to his old posts. Realised we were silly to think we’d only have one rallying cry. We had two before the Villa game at Wembley.
“Black and white warriors marching to wrembly”
Hey lads I can not any prounder of you last night you played with so much passion and fight you mind whole city pround of you. You have wroken up sleeping gaints of mighty Derby county togather as one to supporters to the players to frank we can all the way and have glory once more by winning the play offs.
Your going to have 36k of Derby fans with sea of black and white in wrembly to flag scarfs balloons and banners all over the stadium.
Togather we bleed black and white and the city is also black and white.
So come Derby we believe in you
Come on you rams
We believe.
“Go for glory go for it lads”
We are so close to that fairy tale ending by winning at wrembly this would pefect way for certain to say there goodbyes and leave as heros and legends and legends in the making but we as fans we really need to make wrembly so loud that whole nation take notice and think wow what support lets make whole of london know that Derby county are hear and we are sending our lads onto promation and back were we belong.

Bet on us drawing away at Norwich the day Nuge scored that belter. Just felt dirty. Never again.

Think Ward has been underrated by most this season. Defensive lapses, yes, but he's been so dangerous going forward at times.
Edit: Looks like @Day agrees with me ffs.

With respect I'll be saving all this for when, or if, we ever get promoted to the Premier League. Or win the FA Cup. Something that really signifies over-achievement or something truly special. I don't think this is it.
Don't get me wrong, I'll be delighted come 5pm when we're out of this lousy league but we're only going back to where we should always have been except with a poorer squad and - from what I've seen this season of the Championship - a higher standard of football generally than when we were last in it.
We should never have been docked 21 points imo, and never have been relegated. But we were, and massive well done to Paul Warne and the players for getting us out after two seasons. With the squad we have we should be challenging at the top of the table. I went to the end of season awards last night and it was great to have such a positive vibe in the room.
But, in my humble opinion, it's not worth some of the overly emotive stuff I've read on this forum in the last few days.
Speak for yourself. I’ll be smashing jaegerbombs as if my life depends on it.

Hope I'm wrong but I wouldn't be surprised if our financial situation is actually much more similar to that Rotherham side's than we might want to admit...
I agree with the notion that it's unfair to compare because, at the end of the day, they're totally different squads in very different looking divisions. But if you're looking for an indicator of his quality in the Championship then it's about all you've got to go on isn't it?
When he left Rotherham for us, I'm pretty sure they were in the top 6 or something, so maybe he's going to take us straight up anyway!
It is all you’ve got to go on, but as I say, I don’t think he’s necessarily been below par based on wage budget. That’s not the only way to asses performance, but it’s a valid metric.
I do think our situation will be different because I can’t see us having a bottom 3 wage budget. Even then, I think he’ll have a very clear ceiling, but we’ll just have to see.
