Wildsmith 6 Will be disappointed with the goal and spilled a couple of crosses…..no panic yet.
24Nyambe 7.5 who’d have thought that a proper right back who can defend would improve the back four!
35Nelson 7.5 Excellent alongside Cashin.
6Cashin 7.5 Excellent alongside Nelson.
2Wilson 5.5 Did ok……till he got into the opponents half
Bradley 6 Right up his street, one dimensional attack, hit it long head it away, repeat.
12Smith 9 Where’s this bloke been for the last 12 months, absolutely outstanding, played 10 yards further forward in the second half, massive impact.
8Bird 🦅 8 remarkable return from injury, took him 20 minutes or so to get involved, then back to his best.
Hourihane 6 nice little run out.
22Fornah 8 This lad is something else, got a bit of a swagger about him, perfect just in front of the back four.
Sibley 6 Good outlet late on.
3Forsyth 7 He’s no Roberto Carlos, but if the opposition are slinging balls into the box Fozzys yer man.
9Collins 7 Put in a good shift, work rate outstanding, smart finish, best match for ages.
10Waghorn. 7 Wanders on, finishes the game off with a classy goal, wanders off, typical Waggy.
11Méndez-Laing 7 another who put in a good shift, great pull back for Smith, looked dangerous
7Barkhuizen 7.5 Excellent, involved in some proper passing football, has to start Saturday instead of Wilson!

I’ve just read that Darren England, the Var for the game at Tottenham and Dan Cook, the assistant Var, were part of a group of English referees who officiated Sharjah’s match against Al-Ain on Thursday. It is understood that England and Cook returned to London on Friday on a near-eight hour trip to begin their preparations for the following day’s match between Spurs and Liverpool.
The excuse that England thought that the goal had been awarded seems nonsensical. Why didn’t England & Cook ask the referee why Spurs were restarting the game with a free kick for offside.
Either Howard Webb is lying through his teeth to save VAR from further pain or Webb did not fully think through the response he got from the VAR official!
Either way something doesn't smell right………..I wonder if they were both awake at the time!

I don't think Bird should start on his comeback, that's a recipe for disaster.
I can see where you’re coming from but I’m a bit old school when it comes to players returning from injuries.
If you’re fit to play 90 minutes you’re in the squad, if you’re not fit to play 90 minutes you’re not in the squad.
I’ve never been a big fan of this bring em on for 15 minutes at the end mullarkey. 👍🐏

Last week, Sibs came on, took 2 dead balls, both good deliveries and then Embleton took over. I'd love an explanation on that one...
According to Warne Embleton was injured in training, practising corners.
…………………you can scrub him off the dead ball list! 😁👍

Collins and Waggy can cope
240 appearances and 3 goals from them 4. Average about one goal every season and a half from midfield.
I think Collins and Waggy would have to do a little bit more than cope. 😃👍

Pinched from the Carlisle forum.
Fourth highest attendance in league one. Would have been third highest, if they had sold out the waterworks to Derby. Whoever is making the commercial decisions at Brunton Park needs to find another job.
…seeing how many home supporters where in there it did seem a strange decision

Cambridge at home next week then 7 league games in October.
Blackpool, Cheltenham, Shrewsbury & Stevenage away plus Charlton, Exeter & Northampton at home.
Six of those teams are below us in the league.
…………………..got to be top six by Halloween!

I like to have a look on the oppositions forum just to put a bit of a different perspective on the post match analysis.
Anyway, here’s an observation on this afternoons action from Moonie one of the Carlisle forum moderators.
On a different note, I never realised Derby fans were such a bag of inbred *****
……….safe journey home everyone! 😂👍🐏

We’re going up North with a squad of
Wildsmith, Vickers, Wilson, Nyambe, Nelson, Cashin, Forsyth, Bradley, Elder, Smith, Embleton, Fornah, Sibley, Barkhuizen, Mendez - Laing, Waghorn, Washington & Collins
to take on a team that’s won one match and would be in the relegation places if it wasn’t for points reductions and having played a game more.
For me, with that squad a point is a minimum return.
With Bird, John -Jules, Ward, Thompson & Hourihane back within the next few weeks to strengthen the squad I’m fully expecting making the play offs as a minimum and anything less than that as failure.
Cambridge at home next, then six winnable matches in October.
………………..the charge up this abject league should begin tomorrow.

Tuesday showed what we’ve been missing so far, movement and pace in midfield to allow us to play the football Warne has talked about. Obviously helped by Sibley and Barkhuizen returning, Embleton coming in and Fornah looked up to speed.
I wouldn’t be averse to 3/5 at the back as we now have the personnel to be flexible and more fluid. Smith, Fornah plus either Embleton or Sibley in 3-5-2 with 2 of Collins, Washington and Wagorn up front. Alternatively, Smith and Fornah then 3 of Sibley, Embleton, Barkhuizen, NML, Collins, Washington and Waghorn in the attacking 3.
Lots of options, probably for the first time this season, that could be effective with 3, 4 or 5 at the back. As someone once said, “Players win you games, not tactics”. He then went on to say something about people talking a lot about tactics and dominos, must have had a premonition about this forum 😉.
😁👍

Pinched from the BBC.
Huddersfield Town boss Neil Warnock is to leave the club after their home game against Stoke City on Wednesday.
Warnock is adamant there's been no fallout with the board, that he's in good health, and that he's definitely not retiring. If anything, his departure, after just six Championship games, seems to have further stirred the fire in his belly that he'll be back in football before too long.

We've lost 3 games at the start of the season, that's very comparable? Factoring in they lost 5-1 to a poor Charlton and lost 2-1 to Fleetwood, yes it was a stuttering start (if Warne had lost 5-1 at the start of this season our fans would be rioting). We know they hit good form after the start, not sure what you're trying to say as that's my point.
Plymouth lost their third league game in December!
…..I’m not a Warne out type of bloke, but your comparison to our league start with Plymouth from last year is just ridiculous.- Andicis, Marriot Ram99 and DCFC Kicks

Based on....?
I'm not suggesting anything, again if you make a point you should back it up.
And Plymouth literally demonstrates the example that it is possible to recover from a stuttering start with 2 league and a cup defeat early last season. Simply highlighting that fact. We aren't at the halfway point, we're at the start point. That is a much better fit for the example.
Not quite sure what your point is about Plymouth.
Their first four league matches as you say they lost two, but they’d also won two.
After the first match in Sept (Derby away) they’d played 7, won 5 and lost 2 in the league including wins against Bolton, Peterborough and Derby. Their next defeat was in December including a run of 15 league matches unbeaten. Two defeats in their first twenty games.
Personally………..I’d love a stuttering start like that! 👍
