On the contrary, I want to hear what he has to say. Then I can make my own mind up about it before it is twisted, misinterpreted,  slanted either way to suit people's agendas before posting on here.

If we listen to it are we allowed to talk about if afterwards or is there a NDA online that listeners have to sign? 

Think a lot of people are readjusting their views today. Can we confess in one safe place?? 
I kinda said all along Mel was spending unnecessarily and at inflated prices but that's not to say I was complaining. 
However, got to hold my hands up and say Rooney has acted with a lot of class today. Said all the right things....for him to find out via Sky is an absolute disgrace.

I know nothing about accounting but i do know that if the EFL could punish us they would. They are desperate to hit us, the fact they haven't yet is not for the want of trying.
Our accounts must be the most scrutinised ever and still they are struggling to find summat.

Fully aware of that but Bielik was injured a long time ago and it took EFL many weeks before letting us sign a temporary replacement for him. I'd like to think we've prepared the ground with the EFL for any potential new signings tonight, but seeing the shambolic way the club is running at the moment, I rather doubt it.

Hopefully some of our younger players learn from watching him play. As someone said elsewhere, a player like Sibley is currently limited by the fact he needs space to look dangerous, and he doesn't get that at Championship level now he's a know quantity. Morrison on the other hand always seems to have time, he makes it with his positioning and first touch and then makes quick decisions about what to do next. It's a mark of real class and rare (maybe Will Hughes has something similar). Maybe it can be taught/learned, maybe not, but I'm glad he's around.

No way is Mel sitting talking to the EFL if he genuinely believes they are dead set on issuing a 12 point deduction. 
He would be out fighting and pushing our side in the media. 
He obviously wants to draw a line under things, get a couple of signings over the line, steady the ship and then sell up. 
So - my view..
In an ideal world he wants 0 point deduction and a small fine or suspended points deduction. 
He would take 3 points as a compromise, a disappointment but not a disaster. 
6 points is a very bitter pill to swallow but possibly just about bearable if we can get a few more points on the board and ultimately a takeover is the result. 
Anything more than that is a definite, no. 

Apparently Troy Deeney is after terminating his contract at Watford in search of regular football... 
I know we can't sign anyone at the minute for various reasons etc. but I'd be straight on the phone to him if I were WR and he became available (and restrictions were lifted).

Fans from other clubs are replying questioning why the EFL are even discussing/negotiating with us on the punishment.
It's a valid point, why are they?
The answer is pretty obvious at this point, they haven't got a leg to stand on and all this is a face saving exercise to please some fella up in the North East that's beyond tedious now.

Exactly this. There's a lot on here saying, 'I'd take 6 points' or 'I'd take 3 points' etc. Tragic that a large percentage of the fanbase would simply allow this to happen without knowing the facts of the case because they don't want to think about it anymore. Boo Hoo. This is and should be a non negotiable punishment based on facts and not something open to subjective negotiation on any part. Until we know exactly what has been breached (if anything) we shouldn't accept any 'punishment' from this shitshower of an organisation and fight on/back relentlessly. 

If we are to accept a points deduction to get things moving ahead again, then 3 points is the most i’d begrudgingly accept.
It should be none, but if the alternative is dragging this out then the small hit might be worth it to bring an end to this shambles.

Not with 9 points it wouldn’t. Smacks of EFL trying to save face and trying to get us to agree to something to move on. 

He’s recently been diagnosed with Hypothyroidism, which makes him suffer with slurred speech and memory loss.

Reporter from BBC Radio 5 at the game said that Rooney had told him that he's confident the transfer embargo will be lifted on Tuesday...

What a performance.
Didn't put a foot wrong all game. Calm on the ball, great positioning, great leadership, won every tackle, won every header, even when they outpaced him he just put his body in the way?.  Age is just a number!

Things are coming to an end. My gut feeling is that we are about to agree a deal with the EFL, which no doubt will include a small points deduction and recognition that we have been under an embargo that has reduced the penalty. I think they call it politics 

Sigh, yet another wait.  I have to believe it's a save face move by the EFL but also one that finally resolves matters such we can move on at last.  I also hope that if this is the case Rooney has been told the position and is lining up those valuable last minute transfers. Maybe. 

Why do we need an extension? These should have been prepared and ready to go long ago so we could get on with our season. 

One can only presume that we have agreed some sort of ‘deal’ with the EFL and are re-doing them on that basis but why has it taken so long? 
 
One can only be thankful that the club will no doubt be communicating the reason for this deferral, and the impact it may well have on signing any proper footballers before it is too late, in their usual timely and informative manner. 
 
 

I’d replace Tom Lawrence with Jennifer Lawrence. Unlikely to be any major change in performance levels, or results, but shirt swapping at full time would cheer me up.

If we haven’t breached (which would be a great outcome for us) it will mean we’ve had to endure 2 years of absolute dross for nothing. The club has been pushed to the brink of oblivion because of an accountancy method. I’ve never been more disinterested with football than I am now, some clubs signing players for £100m+, players earning £50m a year yet all we want is a couple more frees to bolster our threadbare squad, football is dead.

Lee Bowyer has proven what’s possible with a clued up and organised manager taking over a struggling team. 

But when we are in the position we are in, very small squad, lack of experienced players, lack of confidence, why is our inexperienced manager not keeping things simple.
Today we had Lawrence touching the ball more times taking the ball from the centre backs than in the attacking half of the field.
Graham Shinnie appeared to be playing at left back.
We had centre halfs taking goal kicks, passing the ball 5 yards to Roos, immediately putting the defence under pressure as Peterborough sussed it out.
We wasted free kicks trying to be clever when all we needed was a ball into the box where our big men were waiting.
Then Wayne brings off Morrison and brings on Joz to close the game out.
I'm struggling to see how any of it makes sense.
Yes, it's easy to say would anyone be calling for Wayne to go if we had held on for a win, but let's face it, a win would only have papered over the cracks which are showing no signs of disappearing.
