therealhantsram got a reaction from Bob The Badger in Paul Mariner has died
Top player domestically. Vital member of that great Ipswich side. They played such lovely football.
Not quite up to it at England level. We really struggled for international level strikers until Linekar came along in the 86.
68 though. What a shame.

You may be right but, if we always adopted the mantra of “careful what you wish for” nothing would even change, regardless of how broken the current situation is, through fear that the new order might be worse or, at best, no better than the existing. You could say the same about the takeover. Who’s to say whoever comes in will not make things worse?

The questionnaire was stuffed full of leading questions, almost certainly designed to get support for what they're inclined to do.
I would say, a new regulator is just as likely to be an incompetent quango, so we should be careful what we wish for!
I liked the idea of a compulsory regulation clause in player contracts, as an alternative to parachute payments.
I said that I think that football player salaries are obscene!

Data.gov.uk daily stats.
The ons data is delayed by about 2 weeks.

Light at the end of the tunell?
For the last 5 or so weeks, since Delta variant took hold, infections have been rising at about 70% a week. But over the past week that figure has been dropping day by day.
Today the figure is 30% week on week growth.
So infections are still increasing, but at about half the rate they were last week.
Maybe, just maybe, the vaccination rate is getting to the point where the virus is struggling to find new people to infect.
Fingers crossed we are in the end game.

Who owns the stadium and would benefit from any sale of rights?

It would be different for other club's but I think the best option for us would be for someone to be voted in by ALL fans (those with customer IDs) rather than someone from Rams Trust of other supporter group.

Oh oh oh
Well let’s hope it happens, and there’s no panic in America.

I suspect there is already a plan and this is a bit of a tick box but I did it anyway. Possibly akin to advertising a job externally, because HR says you have to, whilst knowing already you're going to fill it internally with Billy Bob from Accounts. But maybe I'm just cynical in my old age.

Very misleading questionnaire which is going to bring a lot of biased results... but of course I filled it in.

Completed survey.
I did not have experience to understand the difference between the options to a number of the questions. I expect they will have some trouble interpreting results in some cases.
Personally I would have simplified the survey with the average fan in mind.

About as cryptic as

3 letters, middle letter o.

At the risk of instigating an unintentional DDoS attack, I thought some of you might be interested in this as a somewhat productive way of channelling dissatisfaction with the EFL

I have no real interest watching England, but I have to admit they were brilliant last night. In fact, after a pretty poor tournament so far standards-wise, both semi finals were excellent.

Surely once they're submitted any embargo in place should be removed as they're due to late accounts. They cant have us in an embargo for breaching FFP before they actually can confirm we have.

therealhantsram reacted to DCFC1388 in EFL Verdict
What I found interesting is that the club declined to comment regards the rumours of funds being submitted to the EFL, surely if they hadnt been submitted the club would have just said there is no truth to it? Declining to comment sounds to me like that they have but we're not in a position to publically discuss it.

The away fixtures on the list are in blue. Now it could be random but the colour choice makes me lean towards the away kit is going to be blue.

I really can't see why people are moaning?
Through as group winners without conceding a goal, without exerting ourselves unduly.
Even gave the Scots brief hope, helping to keep the union together that bit longer.

Welcome to the reality of the world we now live in.
European clubs are allowed to hoover up our best talent. But we aren't allowed to sign any European players unless they have umpteen international appearances and a shed load of first-team appearances.
Same rules apply to ManU etc., so they are picking over the bones of our Academy too.
Lovely lovely Br**it.
