I was at the game as he walked round the pitch at the end and every fan - Derby or Chelsea - applauded him. Absolutely legend. Lovely guy, ready smile and twinkle in his eyes.
Feel this much harder than Pele personaly ...modern day footballer who I've watched in the flesh and looked like he could run through brick walls.

I don't think we should be spending a penny on fees whilst stuck in the 3rd Division, personally.
If we're outperforming the agreed business plan, we should be using that money to reduce the owners ongoing spending commitments, not splashing the cash on signings.
It should be perfectly possible to build a promotion capable squad without spending a single penny over and above what we bring in through ticket sales, EFL money, player trading and commercial activities.
Recruitment should really be focused on the summer, thanks to the Bosman ruling we should be an attractive proposition to players entering the last few months of their contract now, that should be our focus.
Even in League One, we're averaging 25k crowds, we shouldn't underestimate the pull we have for players in the pool we're fishing in, most of which haven't played regularly in front of such numbers.
Big crowds, central location, great facilties, and lots of history, and the fact £5k a week goes a bit further in Derby than Charlton, Milton Keynes, Oxford or Cheltenham, makes us a pretty decent destination for a lot of players unsure of their future.

Tell Birmingham we won't recall Bielik as long as we can have that geezer at Plymouth on loan and they pay his wages.  May as well kick Plymouth in the b******* while their still bruised from yesterdays shoeing.

Maybe the 4th official saw it... End of the day, between the 4 officials they correctly identified the offence and offender. Isn't that the sort of thing that we should be praising in football?

Im not sure where all the pressure and expectation is coming from tbh.
6 months… thats all it was.. 6 months ago wed have all given our right nuts to still have a club.
we then entered what was left of the transfer market armed with no transfer fees, no money to line the pockets of agents and a restriction on what we could pay and over the given length of time we could pay that player for.
We did well to get a squad and tbh these are players that other clubs who had more time to get over the line and more money to tie up passed up on.
lets enjoy what we have, if we make the play offs great, if we dont we dont.
to put into context who can tell me the last time we had a manager that lasted more than 2 full seasons ?
im looking forward to judging warne after 2-3 seasons not 5 minutes and one restricted transfer window

I think VAR is what confirmed football is rubbish to me.
Arguing over offsides, penalties and red cards has to be me the most banal conversation that could be had about the game. It's such a surface level, everyman chat that you can even imagine a colleague mentioning it the day after an England defeat, or a friends wife bringing it up at a dinner party. "What did you think about that penalty decision? More wine anyone?".
Has anyone, who has ever kicked a ball themselves, gone to see a game involving Messi or Ronaldo or Mbappe, or Jake Buxton come out of the ground and spoke not of their skill, artistry, heart and technical ability but instead about the referee?  It would be like watching a Porno and commenting on the plumbers shoddy groutwork.
What the ref gives, he gives, what he doesn't, he doesn't. Get on with the game and accept you win some, you lose some and ultimately it doesn't matter. That's the beauty of football. It's really important for 90 minutes and then it stops.
Unfortunately, somewhere along the line football started to take itself seriously. Lost it's fun. Lost it's sense of humour. Inevitable really when there's so much money at stake.
The introduction of VAR and goal line technology is the administrators confirming that every decision matters, because football matters and therefore every effort must be made to ensure a decision (which is open to interpretation) is made "correctly".
    Boring.

I've said this before, but I think it's worth repeating...folk (most importantly the people in charge) are missing the 'A' part of VAR - it's supposed to be an assistant - yet it's turned into the god of refereeing decisions.
Unless the ref has quite clearly missed something (he was looking the other way) or has made a very obvious hash of something, then let the ref get on with their job. If they want to refer to VAR, then fair enough, but it should be used at his discretion, not as a matter of course. VAR should behave in the same way an on-field Assistant Referee would, not as something looking over the ref's shoulder and telling him what to do or think.....

Yes, exactly that. If you’re going to call out the bad it’s fair to acknowledge the good.
How many times do people criticise the manager for not making changes? He got it wrong first half, recognised that and made the changes, and I suspect had a few choice words for the team at half time. It’s resulted in a far better second half performance.

It all to me shows we should never have been involved with this tournament. Don't send a team, don't go and watch it, don't watch it on the telly, don't go to the pub because there's a match on.
It's so detached from our culture. It's a massive mistake. If you don't have a problem with the laws, with the homophobia, with the oppressive regime, with huan slavery, with human rights abuses, with deaths of immigrant workers in the construction, with the lack of respect for the national leagues who have to accommodate the world cup in the middle of their domestic season - if all of that still doesn't put you off, think of the FIFA officials pocketing millions of dirty money.
Just forget it. I have seen nothing good from anything going on. And £50 for 6 cans of beer, they can all do one.

For me, if I was to travel to X country and they had a rule that said no wearing shorts for example, I wouldn’t take shorts or try to protest the ruling in anyway like wearing a skirt instead.
Likewise I wouldn’t like to see someone coming over to the UK and sleeping with 14 year olds, where the age of consent is 14 in their country.
Respect the laws of the country you are visiting, even if you don’t agree with them or simply do not visit.
So many countries have their own issues (in my opinion) before trying to “fix” other countries, take the US for example where you can go to Walmart and buy yourself an assault rifle, large percentage of Americans will go to great lengths to defend their right to bear arms.
And this is the country which we closely align ourselves with on issues across the Middle East…..
Anyhow, I don’t agree with the initial negotiations FIFA had with the Qatari’s to relax their laws, however when they agreed to, then backtracked and FIFA have supported the decisions, I’m happy to see countries such as Germany stick the middle finger up to FIFA.
Best thing FIFA could have done is say to the Qatari’s, if you change what was agreed, we’ll simply suspend the World Cup until next summer and award it to a country that has the infrastructure in place to host.
The World Cup, a global tournament, the host must be welcoming to all, Qatar should never have been awarded it.
