I'm glad someone finally said it. A lot of people hail old players as 'legends' but overlook martin. If you compare Martin's goal scoring record for Derby to someone like Colin Todd, Peter Shilton, Roy McFarland, Brian Clough and other 'legends', it's really no contest.

I welcome any signing. Can’t wait to see them play and then I’ll judge them after that (not using stats or heat maps, but using my eyes and nearly 50 years of watching football).

Surprised at how elated I am. Especially after reading that letter. 

My initital reaction was "oh finally", but I have to say I'm quite emotional now.

I'm IMMENSELY excited for the coming season. Let's take this league by storm, but in a sensible, sustainable way.

That was on my 32nd birthday and we went to the pub at lunch after. I was gutted but felt so optimistic about the club and where we were going. If we could just keep those players together and get Thorne signed we'd be onto something special. How little i knew of what was to come. The last 8 years have been an absolute travesty.

The work that was done by Clough and McLaren was completely obliterated. 3rd division team, no stadium, no players.

Sounds like an absolute plum to be to be honest. 

Even if we were to put it down to "it was a different time" (it wasn't), his response has been pathetic and doesn't suggest he's someone with smart people around him. Doesn't bode great.
