This is why Morris you can’t play a team full of academy players or even half a team and this is against a league 2 team
More so why you shouldn't hire for managerial positions based on profile rather than acumen and experience

RAMPANT-era levels of embarrassment now. I thought 07/08 was our lowest point, but i think the last 2 years have finally topped it. I don't know how we're going to crawl out of this mess, but I'd give anything now for a couple of Clough esque boring seasons of just mid table and flying under the radar.

Just logged on to here after a long old day, and this has cheered me right up. Thank you @G_Kinkladze, @wixman1884, @Asheville Ram, you've made my day with these.
A couple of notable things - I was worried in the writing that I was painting Nigel accidentally as a villain, so I'm glad it's not come across in that way. Personally I wasn't his biggest fan in truth, but I wanted to make sure it was written as much down the middle as it possibly could be.
@G_Kinkladze - Brys was fantastic. When I first told him how much of his time I'd like to steal (six hours in the end) he was a bit taken aback, but I think he was pretty glad to get a lot off his chest by the end. That entire side built by Clough and improved by McClaren couldn't have been any more forthcoming and helpful - great squad of people.
Moneywise - well, I've now found out that authors barely make a jot ? Jeff Bezos though, raking it in! I've at least got some learnings for the next one, which I'll hopefully be able to announce soon!
Honestly, I wasn't much of a fan of Nigel either, and a lot of your descriptions in the book confirmed my suspicions. It was the players testimonials of him though, how highly they rated him and how they spoke of the tight knit group he built that have me a new found respect for him.

Just finished it today. A fantastic read @HuddersRam. Felt every emotion living through it all again. Grown a new found respect for Nigel and now even more perplexed at how far we've fallen over the last 7 years.

Very easy for me to say at the moment, I know we're only 4 (6 inc cup) games in, but Chris Martin is some player.
He's directly contributed to 5 goals already, 3 assists and 2 goals, a MOTM contender in every game he's played so far.
I can't believe you wouldn't give him a 2 year deal, not that I know if that was the deciding factor or not.
I can't say I know much about the way you play but he has been great for us so far.
Paterson, Wiemann & Martin combing to beat Forest.
Side note, Wiemann has been playing CM for us, who would've thought?
Good luck for the rest of the season.
As a fellow bristol fan (come on you robins) I can't agree more. Probably looking at player of the season if he keeps on at this rate. Unbelievable that Derby would undervalue him so much. Can't wait to see this team in the prem

Bristol city club shop will ship to the US. I quite like that 2nd kit. Martin or Simmo on the back?

Stalking Bristol City forums because I'm completely obsessed with Chris Martin still...
this "what player can we not afford to lose" thread features him heavily.QuoteHis link play is absolutely different class at this level. His touch, his awareness, the way he uses his body. He’s going to be SO important to us this season.
also this thread almost brought me to tears
this year can absolutely do one. -

Worked great for me pre-season. The match today is horrendous. Constantly skipping/buffering. Already emailed support.

Limited release over here, but Moonlight was pretty spectacular. I doubt it's everyone's cup of tea, but a solid 10/10 from me.
Also, I hear Disney's Moana is pretty good

I think it's ok to want Rooney to do well and support the club while also acknowledging that he hasn't done well so far, was a foolish appointment and the club has devolved into an absolute mess in the last 8 years.
