I think the whole thing is ridiculous.
my personal experience is that my season ticket auto renewed, but I want to relocate. The reason I want to move seats is I’d like to purchase two additional season tickets for my wife and daughter and have all 3 of us sit together.
I’ve emailed and emailed with no luck.
I was on hold the day the ticket office lines opened for 3 hours to be told I’d have a call back when the manager is in.
I never got that call back and have rang in several times and each time was told I’ll have a call back when the manager is in.
I don’t think it’s harsh to say this is pathetic at all. I’m wanting to spend an additional £700 which would pay one salary for 2 or 3 weeks. Multiply little old me struggling to give the club money by however many other people are in the same boat and they must be losing a fortune. An additional handful of staff would not cost as much as the lost revenue, surely?
in fact, a damn option to move my seat online wouldn’t require any new staff
Pandemic or not, it’s disgusting and like an idiot, I’ll probably spend another tenner on hold tomorrow & get nowhere.

Derby go into administration and out of business.
Meanwhile, we all go and follow Alfreton Town, who with the additional support and income over the next few years speed up through the divisions to the Championship.
Spying an opportunity, a wealthy local lifelong supporter of Alfreton takes them over, and gambles lots of money that he’d made early on investing in an internet game on getting them into the Premier League.
The final throw of the dice after being close to getting promoted was to appoint the newly retired England legend Jude Bellingham as manager who took the Town to the Championship playoffs only to lose to Arsenal at Wembley
In a dire financial position Mel Austin the owner, seeks a buyer…

I’m sorry to hear that B4. I know how important they are to a lot of people, this along with the season tickets, just shows another side of Mel that I really wish I hadn’t. It’s like his actively trying to disengage fans, for whatever reason. I’ll just be happy when he’s gone now. 6 months ago I’d have loved nothing more than him to try and make a success of it here, now I just want this bleak period of Derby County to be done. He’s definitely established himself alongside the Maxwells and Amigos of this club’s history.

You can see what he's trying to do. He's instilling some freedom and a "don't be scared to fail" attitude in the players.  Watson (and Joz to be fair) pinged some great balls through to feet last night which then set up attacking opportunities. OK, it didn't come off every time but Rooney consistently says he wants his players to be brave.  The more they do this, the more opportunities I think we'll create, the more their confidence will grow and the less backwards and sideways passes will be seen.  We've started this season more like I think Rooney wants to play, i.e. look for that forward pass or attack.  Last season we saw more of the latter as it was more a case of "we must not lose" mentality so retain the ball at all costs. One thing I saw last night was that the players believe in what he's doing - there is definitely a strong team bond forming between the players and manager and that can only be a good thing.

That's not about technical ability - That's about effectiveness
There's a whole thread for talking about Jozwiak - Most of which is the same few people having a pop at him - I think people are just saying why not talk about Ebosele in here and Jozwiak over there?
    But for me:
The lad is 23 - Moved to a new country where he doesn't speak the language well - Trying to settle into a bottom 3 side and a relegation battle when he'd been signed as a player to help us challenge for the top end - Went through a change of manager and (arguably) two changes of playing style - Alongside his best mate and key link up player getting a horrific injury (for the 2nd time in 2 years) - Oh and on top of that it was all during a period where the entire country went into lockdown and he had to try and settle in a new place isolated from everyone he knows, unable to even visit home or have any friends/relative visit him
Given all that it's not a massive shock that he's taken a bit of time to settle

The problem is that the club don't just use a ready made Google or apple app and instead outsource it to some development team who make it as complicated as it could possibly be and look at it from the viewpoint of a computer nerd not your average Joe.
A few years ago I came across an app on the Google store that allowed me to record my activities/duties during my shift and which time stamped incidents I dealt with together with being able to add further evidence as I saw fit.
I could then forward this info instantly to a supervisor or send it in bulk at the end of my set...in short it saved me hours of work.
So,I pointed this app out to my gaffer so all the team could make use of it and save the whole unit time and money.
It was sent to the upper echelons who decided they wouldn't pay Google the 20 pence per download and instead it was sent to our software development team so we could make our own instead.
2 years later was still in development and we were told to stop using the Google app which worked perfectly.
That's what we are up against and us no doubt why the Derby systems are such a nightmare!!!
