I thought the home shirt looked classy yesterday. The stripes look fine with the black shorts - and no sponsor - ?.

RR wouldn't be sponsoring us for revenues, they'd be doing it for community kudos.

Anyway, our owner drives planes with their engines, so why not? Come on, RR, you know you want to!

I'm pretty sure the marketing wonks at RR really wouldn't want to connect the name with the third division

Can you image if we still had Callum Ball playing for us.

    I will get my coat.

People would just laugh at us even more than they laughed at QPR when Flanagan and Allen played up front for them

Decent player but he’d quite often get into some good positions and the final ball wasn’t always the best. Not the worst by any stretch but considering the amount of times he would get into a position to assist his final ball wouldn’t be there…. or is it just me?

The final ball wasn't always the best because he's a championship fullback

From my increasingly frequent use of the NHS I can state that diversity is not an issue.

The post advertised cost is just the tip of the iceberg here. By time you add up all the other costs, office ,desk, computer etc ,you will almost treble that cost. Then there will be a secretary and her costs. Probably also an assistant Director or two. Then the liaison team to link all the NHS Trusts and their teams.

Bureaucracy is a malignant cancer spreading its tentacles ever wider!

That 'bureaucracy' performs a function. It allows said person to do their job.

None of what you list is 'bureaucracy'. Certainly not in the sense it is used in right-wing buzz word bingo.

Yeah agree, saw this the other day and felt the same - slowish start then ramps up with some excellent set pieces.

Nice to see Chris Evans do something other than Capt America and play a bad guy, although tbh I thought he was the weak link in the movie.  Still worth an 8/10 though as you say ?

    Just watched this and agree.

Chris Evans probably just wanted to be a bad guy.

On this evidence, he needs more practice.

My sister had her horse box stolen.  She had it registered on so some database that people can contact to see if what you are buying is stolen.  Amazingly this worked, my sister was phoned up by the database people, was given the address where the phone box was.  Passed this onto the police, but they were not interested so it was an insurance payout.

Brother in-law then had his quad bike stolen.  This had a tracker on it so they knew where it was stashed.  Police again not interested.  So brother in law and his father went and got.  Found it in the corner of some field hidden underneath some rubbish.  I didn't ask if they took the shotguns, but this could have ended very badly.

What do the police do all day?

They do nothing that involves getting out of the car.

You should try a Butlins weekender mate. If you can’t appreciate the good vibes and enjoy yourself, then sad to report that it’s you that’s the problem, not fancy dress Mr Meldrew.

I think I'd rather do anything else.

The problem for me is that fancy dress is ostentatious 'fun'. There seems to be an assumption amongst those that like it is that if you don't like it, you are a miserable sod. It's the same with dancing, making lots of happy noises, singing at football etc. Some of those that do it think it's the only way to enjoy yourself. And if you don't, you must be a) a miserable sod and b) incapable of having 'fun'.

'Vibes' at large, crowded, noisy events are never good for me. So call me all the names you want (though I'm not sure why you did that), I don't consider myself a miserable sod. Just someone who has fun quietly.

Wow - if that Ireland team don't win team of the year at SPOTY then we will know that society really has reached a point of no return.

Is team of the year open to overseas teams?
