when was the last time a team survived a 19 point deficit in december to stay up? Even without the 21 points deduction we'd be looking over our shoulders at the trap door as it is rather than looking at the playoffs. The fact is we need to pick up 43 points from 26 games and over the course of a season that equates to 74 points. Does anyone look at our team and think it's capable of that? Being honest even without the points deductions I think we'd be struggling to keep our heads above water. The deductions just guarantee we're dead and buried this year. Nothing from our past form to our XG indicates we're going to do it or really even come close no matter how much we try to find a rationale for hope.
We all know this. Thing is I start each game hoping for a win.

Not worth much anymore according to this or have I got it wrong?

Some crazy responses on here. We are where we are. What's the point of moaning. We have been under embargo for I don't know how long. Have the oldest centre back pairing in the division, an aging centre forward and are basically doing our best as a team. It is what it is.

It’s nice to know that now I’m 60 and been following my club since 1967, and still bounce with the youngsters in the south stand, that I’m not wanted anymore because I’m getting on a bit, and COVID should have finished me off by now.
What the heck are yiu on about? Who said you weren't wanted?

The club is now, I think at a watershed moment. We have had a fan base that still has been traditionally and understandably made up from a lot of young guys from the late 60s through the seventies. A lot of those are now getting on and have long lost the recklessness of youth. Covid has had a big impact on this age group. The club now has a chance, assuming a buyer is found, to start to attract a new younger fan base. Hopefully the spirit, determination and skill shown by our current team of unlikely potential heros can inspire a new generation of fans. The fact we are still getting gates of 20,000 is, in my opinion, an excellent base going forward. UTR

They won’t get anymore than 25% anyway and I think they are still legally entitled to as much of it from the club as they can get.
Thanks

Now outside monies (to the debt) have been raised should St Johns Ambulance withdraw their claim against DCFC or does that sit in place?

Can't remember where I saw itt but probably on here somewhere. Someone posted an in the know character analysis of Gibson and his refusing to let a perceived wrong go. It seems it just isn't in his makeup. Basically, he just will not let go... Ever...
Wish I could find it as it was very enlightening.

I didn't think there was an English League Title anymore unless that's a new invention?
Surely you mean the Premier League title?
But anyway.....
Might be wrong, probably am, but isn't it the EPL?

I think it's a case of 'who are we waiting for' and I'd say it'd be the same mob as it's been the last two years. It's not in our interests to delay matters, after all.
Which in itself is deplorable without justification. Why aren't the club shouting about this from the roof tops. Why not make a massive fuss if we have nothing to lose?

Checks and balances ae the government's responsibility mate, so I wouldn't hold you breath. We're on our own I'm afraid. Ultimately I think this will result in an examination of the EFL rules and the means by which they go about applying them, but that'll come too late for us. We need to take our licks, bounce straight back and be sure to remind the EFL every Saturday afternoon of the high esteem in which we hold them ?
I understand and agree but the time frame is the issue for me. What are we waiting for?

What still amazes is after all this time is that the only thing we have been found guilty of is not putting proper notes in the accounts when we changed them which were approved by an accoutancy company, by the efl & more accountants - which we got a 100k fine.
Exactly. This should not be allowed to go on like it is. It's immoral. We should be charged or exonerated. Where are the checks and balances why are the local presa silent. What the hell is going on???

We need to regroup as fans, team and club and absolutely tear up league 1 then the championship then onwards. We are DCFC UTR
