  1. Question for anyone who may be able to help, it’s looking likely I won’t be able to go to Barnsley on Saturday now due to personal commitment so was wondering if I’d be able to get a full refund if I returned the tickets to the ticket office tomorrow or would it be too short notice?

Planning on giving them a call in the morning but thought I’d ask if anyone knew from past experience.

  2. Still fancy us to bring in a couple more before the window shuts.

Probably an out of favour striker on loan from the championship (Someone like Tom Eaves from Hull?) and maybe a cover goalkeeper to compete for the 2 spot with Loach, with Anang returning to West Ham and Foulkes back out on loan to Kettering(?).

Richie Barker confirmed they’d look at the filling the gap in his Port Vale pre-match presser.

Any news on loseening resitions so may we can spend a little so can bring in a couple on fees.

Can only see it being reviewed in the summer, if anything.

If not, it’ll be another year with only loan and free transfers allowed on a wage cap (Reportedly £12k a week) ending in the summer of 2024.

I thought we got the fella in from Rotherham for this role? Or was that something else

That was Carl Edwards who joined from Rotherham, heading the first team’s analysis department.

He replaces Ben Warner/Pete Shuttleworth who left earlier in the season to Hull and D.C. United, respectively.

This guy (Ross Burbeary) joins from Lincoln City, replacing Luke Jenkinson.

If you had to play Davies or Rooney in the final game of the season, needing a point, who would you play?!

We must keep Curtis, that was clear yesterday.

I didn’t say I would choose Rooney over Davies.

The question was asked what other backup would we have if Davies was to leave and didn’t bring anyone else in.

Rooney is that backup as he’s played CB almost everytime he’s featured so far this season.

Has he been used too much at CB though? I get the impression he’s seen more as RB or midfield cover currently. If Davies is apparently on his way out, it would make sense to give Rooney more time at CB.

In the 9 games he’s featured in so far this season, he’s played CB each time other than against Torquay and Barnsley in the FA Cup.

If he’s the third choice CB, as yesterday would suggest, then he’s not going to go unless we have someone coming in at the same time.

Chester will miss more games than he’s available for, Roberts is obviously more fancied as a second choice LB, Bielik isn’t coming back and then who do we have?

If Flint comes in, then fair enough. It’s likely his final year with us, we’d get more longevity out of Flint and it’s one less player to bring in during the summer.

He’s been absolutely fantastic for us, but he isn’t going to play much if Cashin & Forsyth stay fit. At this stage of his career if he can go elsewhere and play more, then fair play to him.

    Rooney?

Makes sense. Someone Warne knows well and I believe ours has recently left, hasn’t he?

That was Luke Jenkinson who left most recently. He was Head of Sports Science.

Left to join Rooney over at DC United.

Ben Warner was our former Head Performance Analyst, who left to go to Hull with Rosenior.

Not sure if this guy will be heading the department, or if someone else is.

Warne has changed his tune a bit with regards to signings, we have gone from saying we WILL be making signings, to, it would be nice if we did, but not the end of the world if we don't.

I wonder if we are having to wait to sell Bielik before anything can happen.

I think he’s just keeping his cards kept extremely close to his chest.

He’s said before that he keeps his transfer dealings as secretive as he possibly can, which proves difficult in this day of age with more agent involvement, social media etc.

Fully expect 2-3 to join on free’s/loans in this window (RB, RW/LW & ST).

We may well have to wait closer until the end of the window when other clubs have done their own business, making room for their unwanted players/youngsters to become surplus to requirements.
