  1. I’d love to go on the pitch to have a moment to celebrate. I think the draw to do so is to be part of the ‘we’ that is always referred to. No seats and stairs in the way of celebrating with everyone around and being able to stand on the turf where promotion was won. I sit up right at the top of the upper stand so there’s probably zero chance I would be even get near the pitch anyway 😂 But I can guarantee B4 will be there on the pitch 😉

Does dark fruits know about this or is it a surprise (sorry I just couldn’t resist it 😂)

I can’t see any food pairing guidance on the website but I imagine this is would be the guidance for cider:

White lightening - serve warm with a couple of roll ups, alfresco park bench dining optional

Dark fruits - serve cool but slightly watered down in crowded establishments with soggy chips and a luke warm burger with one piece of lettuce

Asquith - served in a glass filled with unnecessary ice. Accompanied by a scotch egg with a perfectly cooked yolk, or a warm sausage roll.

    Dear Derby County,

My previous missive to you refers...

    Ignore stop
Forgot about the early kick off stop
plenty of time for half baked baguettes later stop
looks like i'll have time to invade the pitch with the mob after all, before geting kicked off, go and say hello to @angieram patiently standing... erm, sitting... in the stands, whooping at the belated lap of honour, and still home in time for Sale of the Century on catch up. (*It's from Norwich... It's the quiz of the week).

    stop

    regards.
feeling a bit more important now cheers stop

    Dear Derby County,

As this sporting extravaganza falls around the time one consumes luncheon, would you please be kind enough to ensure the cuisine’s temperature is above the usual tepid level. One needs sustenance to soak up a couple of pints of dark fruits.

    Yours sincerely

Nothing surprising there especially your last comment 😍 Glad you enjoyed it so much albeit I am sure it was also a sad evening for you all

My dad came close to tearing up a few times but it didn’t feel sad. It was very much a celebration. I have my moments but I’m very much a glass half full person. I was joking about what Daniel would have been saying to all the players. Our table was laughing about Nick Blackman turning up in the pink kit with Dan’s award 😂 It was a lovely night.

  5. Straight from the horses/footballers mouths:

Wildsmith was asked about rumours of him leaving Derby. He has not yet been offered a new contract.
Ebou and his missus are absolutely loving everything about Derby. He said there are several things that need to fall into place about signing but seemed positive. He is the loveliest down to earth person. Didn’t stop smiling all night. If we need to forcefully restrain him to keep him here count me in! He doesn’t mind the Ebou chant sounding like booing.

Dwight Gayle is recovering well and hoping to be back next week.

Max Bird still very much focused on the next too games, despite moving on.

    Nathaniel Mendez-Laing smells very nice

  6. What a brilliant night! Dan (B4) and Angie Vallance received the Alfreton supporters award.  I almost missed it as I was in the loo 😂 the glass award is lovely and will have pride of place in my parents house. The players looked visibly touched when it was announced Dan and Angie were being awarded posthumously. It was lovely to see so over 200 people there to celebrate DCFC and those who love the club. I had no idea what to expect but it was amazing. Lovely food and company. I had no idea the players and David Clowes would be there, so that was a lovely surprise.

  7. A massive thank you to everyone who has wished Daniel a happy birthday, promoted his birthday fundraising, generously donated, and kept Daniel’s memory going. You have raised around £500, taking the total up over £1100.

The first birthday without Daniel being here was very hard for the whole family but my parents have asked me to let you know that on the donations and well wishes helped make the day easier for them. They are genuinely overwhelmed by your generosity.

I sometimes feel that I might be banging on about losing Dan too much on this forum but all the kindness you guys have shown has helped me through the hardest time of my life and is appreciated more than you will ever know.  Thank you again.

Let’s all keep a bit of B4 positivity going in all aspects of life as well as the football 💖

Bless you Claire, that neatly circumvents a deal of unnecessary awkwardness 😂

I hope you and the Beavis clan have a lovely day celebrating Dan's birthday today. I'm (mildly) confident that his beloved Rams will oblige with the gift I suspect he's most wanting today too, which would certainly be the icing on the birthday cake.

    🙏🐑

    Thanks @Comrade 86

Now then B4, I know we've begged a few favours already, so I've waited until we really need it to beg another, but if you could give the boss a nudge for us and tell him I'm sorry I've not been to church for 20 years, I'd be obliged. A win today would most certainly restore some faith and I'll book myself in for confession at very least, though I might well need a 2 hour slot!

I used to be a PA to a Bishop, I’ll forgive your sins on the big man’s behalf and cc him in 😂
