A hearty 'yes' to the flag idea and obviously more than happy to chip in. As for the content, I think less is more for these things. My suggestion would be just go with 'B4', or perhaps something that honours him, like the 'BE MORE B4' tag which commemorates both Daniel and his outlook on life.

That said, anything that would elicit a smile or a chuckle from all who remember him so fondly, would be lovely. I'd like to think B4 would bloody love this idea.

I think the Derby badge with the text B4 at the top/corner, and Forever a Ram at the bottom. With some colour on it somewhere would be lovely 🥰

I understand how you feel Scott , I lost my wife with cancer 4 weeks ago after a 17 month battle, in her last few weeks I missed a few games as I couldn’t face going to the match and trying to enjoy it. Time is a great healer, I have started going again now and gradually getting back to my normal match day routine.

I’m sorry to hear your wife has passed away  @Chellaston Ram I find routine helps when going through tough times. Sending love to you x

Belated happy birthday, it made me smile when your name appeared on the big screen and the announcer commented that you were B4's sister 🙂

Thank you @Simmo’s left foot It’s my birthday on Wednesday. Booked the day off work. Should be illegal to work on your birthday 🎂

  4. I’m at the Derby Book Festival today for a few event. Local authorJoanna Burn talking about The Bone Hunters, Stef Penney talking about The Beasts of Paris, and Sophie Elmhirst talking about Maurice and Maralyn. There’s still tickets for Jonathan Wilson’s interview on Two Brothers: the life and times of Bobby and Jack Charlton on Monday evening, if that’s if it’s of interest to anyone. https://www.derbybookfestival.co.uk/events/jonathan-wilson-two-brothers-the-life-and-times-of-bobby-and-jackie-charlton

Currently on Dead Zone by Stephen King.

Oldie, but quite enjoying it. Read most of his other stuff, I think his best are sometimes the shorter ones.

    My SK top 3 are:

    1) Duma Key

    2) Mr Mercedes (and all  Bill Hodges Trilogy)

    3) The Green Mile

Love SK.  I’ve really enjoyed the Bill Hodges trilogy. The Mr Mercedes tv series was pretty good. Have you read The Outsider or Holly? I love Holly as a character. I’ve got Billy Summers and Needful Things waiting to be read.

Was it your birthday today? I saw your name at halftime and heard your mention as B4's sister. It was lovely.

How about if we fundraise for a flag with a B4 inscription instead?

There are quite a few new ones in NE corner and a permanent reminder to "Be more B4" or something similar would be a fitting memorial.

Hi Angie, it’s my birthday on Wednesday. A B4 flag would be lovely ❤️

Creating books is a really slow process. I moved to Penguin a couple of years ago, but first you have to contract an author to write a book, then they must do the hard graft of writing, and we go through numerous drafts together, and then it moves into production and all the stages there. My very first book from start to finish like that publishes on Thursday and it's a great story - proper narrative nonfiction that follows Chris Thorogood's lifelong obsession with Rafflesia, the world's biggest flowers, and his quest to save them. Lovely review in the Guardian to kick things off. Before this book, I was pretty blind to plants. Now I notice them so much more. It's called Pathless Forest if anyone wants to try out a nature adventure story.

Congratulations on getting published. This flower looks fascinating

  8. Ahhh you guys 😊 Thank you so much for being so kind. Had some good news today, my mum and dad are going to buy the season ticket as this year’s birthday and Christmas present (as long as I stay on Santa’s nice list 😂). I’m going to pay for the car parking this season in return.

Thank you so much for trying to help. You’re all stuck with me for another season 🐏 🐏🐏

got a few on the go atm. Mixing it up between IN ASCENSION by Martin Macinnes, Cold Peace by Michael Doyle and Making the Arab World by Fawaz Gerges. Not long finished The Bee Sting by Paul Murray which I thought was much better than the eventual winner of the Booker Prophet Song which I found very underwhelming. I'd also recommend Wellness by Nathan Hill who has only written one other novel and anything by Brandon Taylor I've really enjoyed recently too.

Someone recommended The Bee Sting to me. My reading wish list is growing by the minute today 😂

I read The Heart's Invisible Furies and really enjoyed that (reminded me allot of William Boyd's "Any Human Heart"), so I might try some more of his in the future but, as you say, it's difficult to get round to reading all those on my list.

If you like Irish literature, or just want to read a bit more of it, I can recommend a fair few.

Loved The Hearts Invisible Furies. Cyril two had me in stitches 😂

Please add some recommendations. I’ve really been enjoying Chinese and Japanese literature recently too. The Bonesetters Daughter by Amy Tan, Before the Coffee Gets Cold by Toshikazu Kawaguchi, and Pachinko by Min Ji Lee are all excellent.
