It feels like you’ve zoned in on that one point he made about results mattering most (which let’s face it they do from his perspective) and ignored some of his other comments. Ideally it’ll be a combination of performance and results to keep everyone happy, however if we have to sh*thouse our way into the championship this season then it’ll still be the end result everyone wants, just a rougher journey. It's FECKING AWFUL!!! The issue is that we wouldn’t win all those 20 matches playing like we did today. I’m buzzing we won. Loved seeing the penalty go in but I’m not deluding myself into thinking that was anything other than shakey. 5 minutes ago, Curtains said: Who Eric Steele . Not sure about the necessity to say you have spent money on a season ticket etc as that really doesn't make your opinion any more valid than a supporter who hasn't but that's another matter. We won away from home and kept a clean sheet - isn't that positive in itself? Edited September 23, 2023 by Tyler Durden Sheff Ram

We won away from home and kept a clean sheet - it's that positive in itself? As I’ve said before I enjoyed watching the goals go in. I enjoyed the sense of relief on the final whistle but yet again a team with less resources than us were playing better football than us. I’m tired of watching us being outplayed by managers who are squeezing more out of what they have at their disposal whereas we are significantly worse than the sum of our parts. I’m worrying now because I don’t want to be regretting missed opportunities further down the line in this season. We cannot spend much longer down here, financially never mind what we as supporters want. RoyMac5
Wistaston Ram
On the train back. Happy with the win if not the performance. Fans were so much better than at Bolton and a good away day was had by all even the elderly Derby fan who fell over trying to retrieve the ball in the first half. angieram
JuanFloEvraTheCocu'sNesta
The poll attached to this thread is absolutely unhinged. Of course we are happy with three points, what a a daft question. It's absolutely acceptable to be happy with the points but not the performance. lrm14
Just need to sort our home form out and then I think we'll all be able to accept scrappy away performances like that. They're much easier to digest when you know that every opposition that comes to Pride Park is getting a tonking. Fingers crossed we can start against Cambridge.
