Ivan toney wins a spot. Maguire and Shaw retained despite not playing hardly at all for their club atm so a Southgate "golden rule" ripped up there. Eric Dier recalled. He scored at the weekend after the squad was announced, yet that doesn't change the selection is not on merit given the performances in limited game time. I'll gladly eat my words if we win a World Cup, but I'd love to see him be brave and play something like this: Ramsdale James Tomori Stones Chilwell Rice Mount Bellingham Foden Sancho Kane Substitute in players like Trent, Shaw, Maguire and Grealish dependent on club form.
