Can only assume it’s because Swansea want to offload him permanently, and Oxford are able to put an option in to buy him for a fee at the end of the season, whereas we could only try and take him for free. Bloody business plan. We need to find an alternative quickly, as we desperately need a third striker now we’ve let Stretton go out on loan, particularly with McGoldrick still out. That’s good news in the short term, finally gives us an option up front off the bench. Thinking long term through the season though, we still need to sign a third striker.
