1967RAMS
1 hour ago, Oldben said: Derby have passed the sealed bids deadline. Next step is to check the bids, do any match the amounts the administrators are looking for. After that I'm guessing the administrators can reveal the bids to the bidders and ask if the bidders would like to outbid the highest bid made. If the highest bid made is acceptable, then the administrators can take that. If the bids failed to meet the administrators target, then they can return to the bidders and ask for more. Obviously the process takes a while. All eyes seen to be on Ashley but is his bid the highest, and in this situation the administrators are keen to get the most that they can for the creditors. The administrators will communicate the bids to the creditors after working out how much to offer each, to see if the creditors will accept the bid. These are all my assumptions on the process. Not good assumptions. If they are sealed bids. The others can’t then raise theirs otherwise no point in asking for a sealed bid.

Gritstone Tup
Sealed bids my arse! It isn’t a case of highest bidder takes all. They have to satisfy the criteria, then pay £5million up front and then the admin sees what’s best for the creditors on top of that! if all 3 boxes aren’t ticked we’re toast. jimtastic56 and RadioactiveWaste 1

DCFC1388
Dont understand why any potential owner would offer less than the required amount so we get another 15pt penalty? What do they get out of it? Save a few mil but always a chance it could result in us dropping to League 2, they would surely lose even more then than what they saved? It’s obvious MSD are protected as they have security and a further 15 point deduction has always been the case if our exit strategy doesn’t meet the appropriate criteria. For that reason talk of a “major row” feels like nonsense as well. ThePrisoner, Rammy03 and Jimbo Ram 2
BramcoteRam84
Nothing new. We always knew this was possible given the size of the debts. Kirchner said to avoid it it’s a £58m deal including the stadium - no one is paying that. My guess is Nixon hasn’t heard anything new so is assuming the bids haven’t drastically improved and don’t meet the EFL criteria therefore -15. And we won’t be on collision course with the EFL - the rules are the rules in this case and these ones they seem to consistently apply.

Nothing story really, sure bidders want it as cheap as possible but they are not stupid enough to lumber themselves with a further 15 point deduction, and less chance to revive the club and a return on their money. Garbage story with a sensationalist headline to sell a paper.
