This is fast becoming like one of those all too rare occasions when the missus suggests an early night, and, no matter how hard you try, no conclusion can be reached.  Except of course there are only two parties in that bed instead of between 5 and 10 to satisfy in this one.  The other difference is that in the former circumstances you roll over and go to sleep, leaving her to her own devices.  With DCFC that isn't an option and it goes on and on until one party or the other dies....... while the ever running cameras of the EFL film it all but do bugger all else..

I agree. I dont get how a time extension helps if our players can still be picked off and we cant sign/extend contracts for another 28 days. If I'm being dense after tough day at work please tell me!

Transfer windows closes at end January. so no more sales or purchases, however any players out of contract could leave after end January as the embargo means we can’t extend them,

A month’s delay in the proof of funds deadline might make perfect sense.  It allows:

- a PB to be appointed without ponying up a big deposit (because [MSD] lend a little more)

- further negotiations with the 2 blackmailers

- preparation of the application for the restructuring plan and maybe even the hearing.

So by 1/3 we might be in the situation where the sale of the club is unconditional and the PB is happy to provide funds for the rest of the season

And window closed - no players in

likely that players will leave

Club worth less with players gone

less chance of the impossible - escape from the drop

Still no guarantee that anyone  will actually buy the club

so by 1/3 we will have a paper thin squad

virtually guaranteed relegation

still have the parasites wanting money

be no nearer in one month to security than we are now

so yes makes perfect sense ......jeeez!!!!

Which players could leave after the transfer windows closes? Is it only those whose contacts expire between now and the end of  Feb?  And other clubs can bring them in outside  a window. Who are these players?

Just because EFL say we can have another month for proof of funds we dont need it if they have secured funds do we? They can do one with their delays! If we have funds, have PB ready to go and they agree to deal with claims later perhaps we can have a poll on what delay they can dream up next for something to do?
