GenBr
Don't know how its only 9 points, but at least our friends at the efl are rargeting other clubs now. Hopefully Stoke next so they cant avoid punishment by getting promoted

TigerTedd
There’s some hope here fellas. By the time it’s all done and dusted, our -21pts won’t look so bad if there are 3 or 4 other clubs on -9 or more. it’s already started with forest giving themselves a self imposed penalty to start the season. Woodypecker
Have Reading ever taken points off Middlesbrough in these accounting periods? Shouldn't Gobby Gibson be initiating actions right now against The Royals, like he did during Derby's disciplinary proceedings? How many more horrible cheating clubs are going to deny Boro a play-off place?? Ted McMinn Football Genius

Ted McMinn Football Genius
Football is broken and it’s going to get far worse way before it gets any better. There are many clubs now quaking in their boots. Hopefully that Tw@ at Middlesborough is one of them.
jono
Here’s a thought EFL …. It’s only parachute clubs that really go up so whatever none parachute clubs spend, they have gained no quantifiable advantage over anyone else … so why bother with points deductions which are supposed to punish “unfair advantage” rebalance things ? Philmycock
Imagine Gibson's face if 4 or 5 clubs get docked with us and we survive! #bamford Carnero, Andrew3000, RadioactiveWaste and 1 other
Wolfie20
The pace at which wheels turn at the EFL it will probably be season 23/24 before any other culprits are punished.
Boycie
Who’s next? Stoke? Bristol City? Hull? Cardiff? Huddersfield? Swansea? Any team who’ve come down and not gone back up or a team like our who have aspirations to get up to the Prem. We could be involved in our own mini league of docked teams if things carry on. Then the EFL will look like a complete shambles won’t it? The bigger teams are suppressed, so the smaller clubs get promoted then they come back down and join the rest of us. Add Gibsons bunch and The Gumps to that list and the season becomes a very interesting one indeed.

Gibbon will come unstuck, then the EFL will have him but the short and curlies.( head lock) He must be walking a tight rope and watching every penny, it’s coming though, the manager says he needs one more signing and we can forget about FFP. Whos his manager? lol!
Woodypecker
There are really 6 leagues within the Championship - shows how 'skewed' it all is: 1. Newly-relegated ex-Prem clubs with huge parachute advantage, plus income from flogging their best players back to Prem clubs - hence able to fund a costly squad and often 'bounce back' right away. 2. Ex-Prem clubs still receiving Parachute payments who should be in contention for promotion 3. 'Improving' clubs that are prudent (and fortunate!) to be within FFP, like Brentford that might break into the Prem 4 'Resident' Championship clubs without (or never had) parachute money, mostly static status season-on-season. Gambled but lost in promotion pushes, sailing close to the wind with FFP and P & S. (We thought we were one of those - but see below!) 5. 'Minnow' clubs with low budgets and expenditure having a Championship adventure for a season or two (Burton, Wycombe, Posh etc) 6. 'Naughty-step clubs' now fallen from grace, having flouted FFP and P & S, scrabbling against a points deduction and helping the EFL to enhance the third tier. This will become a common feature rather than an occasional anomaly like SWFC, Derby... The EFL rules are 'dumbing-down' the Championship and making it a little league of low achievement capabilities for most participants (I refrain from using the word 'competitors' - it's becoming anti-competitive). Funny game, football.

Sparkle
I am sure the EFL would prefer us to have been done before they agree on Reading punishment if other clubs are to fail then it needs to happen by March to count this season so it’s unlikely any more will join us

What will it take?

Any points will probably be deducted in the next few months. Made sure they allowed them to bring in a couple of Chelsea players first mind. All rather odd if they were that close to the knuckle.
