The thing is, this was obvious at the time. This time last year this forum was full of 'how are Reading affording these signings whilst under an embargo?' questions. Reading decided to deliberately flout the restrictions in order to avoid relegation, knowing that the punishment would be only 6 points further down the line, when they hoped to be in a healthier position.

It would be interesting to know what our punishment would be if we flouted the business plan.

Peterborough finished 4 points behind Reading last season, will they sue the EFL/Reading?

That's the noise going around now.

Some chickens coming home to roost for the EFL. They totally failed to stamp this ambulance chasing nonsense out when Wycombe and Boro came after us, this is the logical conclusion.

I reckon they want clubs bickering with each other, it stops them from realising that the EFL are the ones they should be going after. Reading didn't decide when points should be deducted, or set the processes, the EFL did.

That's easy, we'd be down in Tier 11.

If Reading do only get the 6 suspended points deducted, they'd still be 7 points clear of relegation.

Reading there fans forum, they think it is for FFP in previous seasons and not the suspended 6 points

I think I would take two 6 point deductions over two seasons rather than a 12 point deduction in the same season. One way or another that is proper cheating

Yes, it's not likely to harm their prospects at all, unfortunately.

The press seem to think it's the suspended 6. It got suspended because they agreed to a 2 year business plan. It seems they have not stuck to the plan. Time will tell.

After Reading, who else is likely to get a points deduction and when?

Bristol City have just notified a loss of £26m to go with the previous year's £34m, QPR also posting a similar loss for last year. I find it difficult to believe that these two and others will comply with FFP at some point.

EFL:"hand wavey COVID times move along we don't want to go there now that we shafted Derby and Stephen Mr Gibson Steve isn't sending us legal threats anymore"

Also EFL: We take FFP very seriously and we are a serious institution.

Also EFL: "so them perks we're supposed to be getting, shall we have a meeting about enjoying them more, for the good of the game"
