I don't think it'll play out that way. Byrne and Buchanan will be on the wing, they will be getting forward now we have 3 at the back. Sibley and Roberts will tuck inside and players as attacking midfielders around CKR

Hope so. Interested to see how this will work out... COYR

This shows the right intent. Stoke have injuries and are beatable right now. According to the stokies on Rams Review pod, Mikel and Allen are past it in midfield. Also, no Fletcher?

Chance for our lung busters in Knight & Shinnie to out run & out work them in there

Totally. Their guys said they neither help the defence or attack and that their midfield was far better when they were out injured.  Matondo on the bench could be a threat with his pace.

Good to see Beni gets on the bench with Gregory excluded against his former club. Potentially a rare chance to impress.

If Colin is really doubtful and with Gregory ineligible, it's a massive call to leave Waghorn out. Hector-Ingram and Stretton were surely ahead of Cresswell and have gone out to get games, while Cresswell was in what was maybe our 4th or 5th eleven who played Chorley in the Cup.

I've never been a fan of Waghorn but that's partly the absurd price we're reported to have paid for him. I'd have thought he'd have been worth a place on the bench. Think we're better with a back three and great to see both Byrne and Buchanan have the chance to bomb on. Let's hope they take it. And let's hope Roberts finally seizes his moment to show us what he can do. My disappointment is to see Wisdom playing and with the armband when both goals in the last game were significantly down to him and he has looked so lethargic and disinterested in recent matches.

I’m assuming that’s a 3-4-3 with Sibley on the wing... not a fan of playing him out of position like that. Good to see Kazim-Richards is fit, surprising one that after Rooney effectively ruled him out - though he’s not had much influence on recent games anyway, so I hope he’s fit enough to make a bigger impact today. Surprised Roos is still in goal to be honest, probably could’ve done better with the second goal against Brentford, so I would have thought Rooney would’ve used that as an excuse to restore Marshall. Think Buchanan is lucky to keep his place as well, struggled defensively again on his return to the side the other day. Not massively convinced by the 3 at the back system with Wisdom and Mengi either - Wisdom isn’t good enough in the air to play in the middle, and Mengi isn’t good enough going forward to play “wide”.

Very interesting that Waghorn has been dropped from the squad altogether. He has definitely had a poor season to be fair, and it’s a damning indictment on him that an U23 has taken his place on the bench. Strongly suspect that means his time here is up and his contract won’t be renewed - fully expect him to leave this summer.

Hope we win. I’ve been really fed up all week and need something cheery to happen.

Line up looks like something worth a go. Roberts has looked a bit “wet” needs to put himself about a bit.

More creativity in this team, we hope.
