I remember a poster at the start of September saying we would be ferreting around for scraps like rats  at the end of the window and they got ridiculed. They have been proven bang on tbh.

It happens often.

Paterson and Hamer last year, who can forget Chris Weale or Ikechi Anya.

Chris Martin leaving was bad, but at least we knew (or thought) the would at least make a replacement a priority.

Macaulay Bonne, Cauley Woodrow, Sam Lammers (how funny), Keiffer Moore, Dursun, Junker, Charlie Austin.

The targets come and go like Forests managers.

This whole striker situation is looking increasingly damaging to our early prospects this season.

Who on earth allowed our best striker to leave without having a replacement lined up needs a proper bollocking.

It's out number one priority right now to get a target man in but it's looking more and more unlikely that we will get in the quality that we need at a price that will attract them here.

Theres a lot resting on Waghorn when he finally returns.

Agreed, talk about cutting your nose off to spite your face.

Let’s wait a bit.

We might be waiting for someone.

The biggest mistake was the massive, massive contact given to him whilst on loan at Fulham.. so can we add McClaren to the blame list even if Mel was ultimately responsible?

50/50 whether that counts as us treating him well or whether sending him out on loan so often was treating him poorly.
