Rev
This season is the 1st time I've been in the correct end at Forest. Always used to get freebies, so saw every game from the Capital One corner. Fa Cup replay was sweet, but the league game just after was even better, great view of thousands streaming over Trent Bridge with half hour still to play. Biley66
West Ham v Derby Littlewoods Cup 1990 Went with a couple mates from London, tickets in the home end. Before the game some of our more notorious fans had cs gassed their main boozer and the atmosphere outside had become somewhat ‘on top’. Kevin Francis, Saunders, Shilton - great days
ivo_knoflicek
At the County Ground, Swindon, in 1994. It was a Sunday afternoon game, live on Central tv. I had a mate who was a Swindon fan and he got us tickets in a sparsely populated home supporters’ stand. I managed to keep my head down pretty well until Kitson netted for us, at which point I broke cover under the influence of a few lunchtime bevvies. I was still a Popside season ticket holder at the time so quite unaccustomed to mod cons such as seats, and unfortunately I misjudged a hurdle into the empty row in front of me and fell flat on my face on the concrete. Cue much mirth among the locals.
King Kevin
Desperate to see the last game at the BBG I sat in the away end with the Arsenal fans .Good bunch of lads actually mind you it's easy to be ok when you win 3-1.

ViewsFromTheMiddle
A few times, mostly corporate. Sat behind the glass at Forest once (think it was the 2-2 in 2005 when Rasiak scored twice.) Did the same at Coventry in what was their game at Highfield Road when they spanked us 6-2. In the play offs at Preston it got a little heated so ended up being escorted over to the away end. Most recent was Huddersfield away when we lost 1-0 in the last minute.

Zag zig
Loads of times, including the Leicester game already mentioned, there were loads of Rams top of their double decker stand and behind the dug out at Anfield with the old man trying to shush me when we scored but best of the lot have been Man Utd away in the corporate. Once bumped into Fergie and his minder going to his seat in the rat run. Asked him if we’d win and he said I should think so son. Turning round to my United friends I said, see even Fergie thinks Derby will win ? Another for the 3-2 “Paulo” game and Wilf McGuiness was the stand “compare”. Wilf is a bit of a stand-up comedian, so had loads of fun taking the rip out of our foreigners, not household names yet. Got to Paulo and said “Lamb chop, pork chop, one chop, well whatever”. Took great pleasure at half time saying to Wilf “bet you ducking remember his name now!”...... he took it well and replied “that I will son” ? We went for a couple in the local boozer (near the ground) after the game... showing our colours. Locals as friendly as 'owt. Came out at kicking out time, to a minibus literally on it's side, one window completely missing, and all 4 tyres slashed to zero psi! Didn't set off home until early hours, and with the heavy fog, and the driver not being able to see much further than his nose, we got home just in time for work next morning! Oh... and guess who bagged the seat nearest the missing window! Effing freezing, I was! EDIT: Oh, just realised that's weird! Cold and foggy in August? Maybe I'm getting my games mixed up, but defo Cambridge away! Maybe I went twice?
G STAR RAM
West Brom, Arthur Cox play off season. Sat with headphones in, cheered Derby goals, too young to get my head caved in but got some abuse. Red Dogs, think it was a 1-1 draw but cant remember. Ejected for celebrating our goal. Wigan couple of seasons ago. Sat on my own. No bother. Barnsley either last season or season before, sat with sister in law. Lost 1 or 2 nil. BOB BIGGS
I’ve lived in Northumberland since the late 80s. I made friends with a Sunderland fan who subsequently moved to Norfolk. We met in Derby several years ago for Derby v Sunderland. I did the decent thing and sat with him with the away supporters ... Derby 0 Sunderland 5......NEVER again We’re still good mates? I doubt very much we would have pre-purchased tickets. Different times... but great days! Exciting too, (for a 17 year old, as I would have been around then), despite clearly embarking on a "downward turn", as we were then! ?? I think we bought tickets off a tout as the ticket office was shut when we arrived. Me and a mate stayed overnight having been to an Elvis Costello private gig at the hammersmith palais the night before. Went back home on the road rider though. Van der MoodHoover
Went to chelsea v rams 1983 and stood in the shed end with a gormless mate from uni who came from burnleh. He almost guaranteed us a good kicking when we scored and he boomed out " why aren't you cheering Mark - your team are winning".......
Steve How Hard?
I was in the middle of a packed Blackburn terrace for the play-off 1st leg when we raced in to a 2-0 lead. Paid over the odds for a ticket to a tout outside. Money well spent I thought until the game turned on its head. Not enjoyable being mobbed by Blackburn supporting mates each time they scored. David Speedie and Mike Newell the cnuts. They looked like scoring everytime they attacked in that 2nd half. Hated Blackburn with a passion ever since. Defo went to the 3-0 defeat. Opening game of '80/81 as previously stated, but it transpires that was a Saturday. (We'll be back in '81"! Yeah right!) There's a 1-2 win there in Sept '81 (Tues). A 0-0 draw in March '83 (Tues). And a 0-1 win in Nov '83 (Sat). Then the cup game, in Jan '84 (Sat) As I'm convinced it was a midweek/evening kick off (or we spent a hell of a long time in the pub. LOL!), the foggy night in question must have been before the cup game, but not that season opener I first presumed. Either way, I clearly am getting my games mixed up. On the bright side, I must have been there more than once, so a big up to me! ??
EtoileSportiveDeDerby
Liverpool away in that season. Went with my young lad at the time so did not get any agro and by the end of the game the people around us felt sorry for him telling him it would get better. He learned a valuable lesson that day, never trust a scouser.
1of4
Once stood in the trent end with a workmate who was a forest fan, back in the late 80's. The game ended 0-0, which luckily for me meant I didn't have to suppress any goal celebrations.
