Surprised to see so many outs after todays performance. Effort and work rate was miles better than in recent games, Malones stupidity killed the game for us. You can rightly criticize Cocu for alot this season, but don't think this one is on him.

Except that he picked the guy ahead of Lowe, yeah.

Stoke thought getting rid of Rowett would improve their teams fortunes.

Then they thought getting rid of Nathan Jones would improve their fortunes, but he couldn't get the best out of then, so had to go.

Soon they'll decide that the newest incumbent, Michael O'Neill, has got to go. He's not getting anything out of them either.

Now most of them realise that their team is rotten to the core despite having a number of players people looking in from the outside might think are quality championship players.

Sometimes there's nothing a manager, any manager, can do to halt a decline.

Get a ducking grip.

Who picked Malone? Who left on 'couldn't hit a barn door' Waghorn? Need a goal-poacher leave him on the bench. Play Fozzy at CH after a poor showing, why not Wizzy? Etc, he makes lots of 'odd' decisions.

Plus he's obviously not a 'lucky' manager.

This is the bones of a team that has been in or around the playoffs for the last 6 years. We're currently in 17th.

We have far from the best squad in the league, but they are underperforming massively and that falls on the manager. I'd take a mid table finish and a "transition" season if there was any glimmer of improvement week after week or any sign that we were building towards something.

We're just hopeless and getting worse with every performance.

The very bare bones.

Getting fed up of these nonsense responses.

This team was lower midtable last season when just without Mount. Take out 6 other senior players who played a massive part in that and it doesn't take Sherlock to work out we are in not a good team. Bielik is clearly taking time to adapt to this level and he is the only new addition up to it.

Has this performance been that bad? Hit the post, hit the bar, denied a penalty. Probably been the better team despite having 10 men.

It would but this bloke in charge can’t  make the best of anything regardless of transfers

If Mel sticks by his man you’ll see next year. Unlike other teams in our situation we can actually see a style being implemented, if this was a Gary Rowett type manager then yes worry but Cocu is trying to transform the whole club not just the first 11

The only style I can see being implemented is losing away games without scoring or do you allude to something else that I can't see

Jeez people, you wanted a rebuild, just be patient.

We know this group of players bottle it at every hurdle, Cocu knows this now and we have to give him a couple of windows to sort it out.

The best team we had in the last ten years was Cloughs team when Mac took it over, but it took time. We need to show that again.

If he’s seen this, why is he still picking them?

But he did... it was his team. Even George Thorne was scouted by clough's team previously. I would also bet we would be a lot better off now had we stuck with Clough, but that is another story. McLaren brought short term entertainment but doubled the wage bill. You could also argue that his spending has led us to this point. Cocu is starting out like Clough was, it will take time.

I’ve got absolutely no respect for about 70% of our current team.
My anger is currently directed at these bunch of useless players rather than a manager with clear pedigree.

I’m furious at individual errors that have messed us up, from all of the penalty misses at the start of the season, from Waghorn giving that stupid penalty away against West Brom, from Forsyth being responsible for 3/4 goals on his own in the last 3 matches. Sick to the back teeth of a lack of quality and a lack of getting the basics right.
It ain’t Cocus fault that these clowns can’t pass to a bloke on their team 15 yards away.
