Sterling again, hattrick of assists for kane. Not exactly quality opposition mind, but still

If they can do this against quality opposition for a change we might actually stand a chance in a proper tournament.

Makes their showing the other night even more difficult to explain.

ive enjoyed minds’ marauding runs and winks has looked more purposeful than rice but there’s more to it than that surely?

Listening to Mr Southgate just he seems to be saying.

"If we were any good in attack we could try and improve our poor midfield if we were any good in defence!"

Told ya!

We scraped through by six lucky goals tonight!?

I'm proud of our supporters singing 'God save the Queen" loudly and proudly at the lowest point in the match!

Just a thought, but maybe if a team whose fans were dishing out racist abuse were the ones to bring it to the refs attention the message would get through quicker?

They have the same olfactory equipment after all, with probably a keener ear for local dialect too.

Suspicious how easy it was to locate and evict the perps too, almost like they knew in advance where the group of racists could be found, but still allowed them in.

I didn't realise that you could smell racists - although their message does stink.

/perhaps you meant 'sniff it out'

They weren’t ejected, they walked out. The real scandal is that they weren’t apprehended on the way out. There were about 200 guys in black hoodies in clearly some sort of organised thing, who walked out at the second stoppage.

I don’t get it though, what are they trying to achieve? They want to protest to defend their right to be racist dheads? They want the match to be cancelled and Bulgaria hit with heavy sanctions, ‘cos if I can’t be revisit at the match, there’s just no point to football?’
clearly it was their job to wind up the rest of the stadium and then get the duck out of there.

what sort of ducked up ideology do these people have that they feel they can create an organised protest to defend it?

I honestly don’t know what the answer is to this issue.

The problem is not in football, it’s in the psyche of many countries, particularly in Eastern Europe. Identifying and banning the ignorant is a start but it’s a bit ‘finger in the dyke’. More will take their place.

Banning teams doesn’t seem to work either. Unless countries are prepared to give custodial sentences to those guilty of inciting racial hatred and using that time to educate the guilty, we will have this issue for a very long time.

Just pleased the England team acted with dignity and feel so bad for the black players who were subjected to such filth.

Was very surprised at just how bad Bulgaria were. For a nation that has a little bit of footballing pedigree through the years, they were on the level of a San Marino last night. Really poor.

UEFA finally need to nut up and throw them out for a lengthy period. None of this behind closed doors, or sections closed. None of the £2.50 fines... just throw them out. It won't fix the systemic issues within the nation, but it will completely remove their platform.
