So, much of the speculation regarding other charges is BS.

However the failure to stop at the scene is quite an aggregating factor.

Not as awful as I'd feared, but, then, I'd feared a number of things may also have been in evidence which they were not.

I have a friend who retches when someone even wafts jager near him - He can't do any spirits at all - If you gave him one after half a pint he'd throw up

It doesn't sound good that they left the scene at the time, I'd imagine they panicked, and I'm not sure people tend to act rationally when they are panicking, at least they did go back, presumably after they started to calm down and think rationally again.

Loads of possibilities - For starters that sentence doesn't specify those things were done in order - Just says those were both things he did at some point in the evening

Take your point, but this isn't the 1970s, all of them have mobile phones and no one goes to a petrol station to get help.
