jono
Has anyone mentioned Isaac Vassel ? .. ( relative of Darius ) My Luton born Nephew and ST holder since he could walk, says he is a step better than Andre Grey was at the same position/ period of development ..... . 22 not cheap but maybe realistic .. They got him on a free from none league ! Brum wanted him but 1.5 mill offer rejected. Very quick and seriously strong. Bit of a rough diamond
ollycutts1982
It seems as though as we are working our way down our list we are going from a - Very very high quality replacement to a very high quality replacement to a high quality replacement to a quality replacement and eventually knowing the Derby Way we will just end up signing a replacement. Rab a dab doo
If clubs won't sell or overvalue our main targets we have either to switch targets, pay over the odds or wait patiently for something to give. Things will move into overdrive in the last week of the window they always do. That is when decisions are finally made.

Since 14/15 when we started spending big on players the only real 'miss' we've had is Camara (who know on Blackman yet) and even he would probably have got into most mid-table championship sides (QPR wanted him I think) Just from 12/13 alone we can go with Jacobs, O'Connor, Sammon and Freeman - Who were perfectly good enough to finish 10th - But nowhere near good enough to challenge for promotion You stay in the championship and finish mid-table if you like - I want to see us in the Premier League - And for that we need to risk serious money trying to find serious players Don't agree at all we have spent large amounts on Butterfield, vydra, camera, shackell 2nd time around, anya, and Blackman none of which have been a success so far. Under Clough we also brought through our own academy players of which Hughes and Hendrick are now in the prem. Plus Clough brought in many players who are still first choice for derby even though we have spent millions since there arrival. Martin, Russell, keogh, Bryson, fozzy we're all brought in and expensive additions have been unable to replace them. He also brought in Christie who has since been sold for a tidy profit. imo no expensive signings have been better than what we already had at the time. Premier ram
How about a bid for Hourihane at Villa , not hit it off there , Villa need to trim the squad , good box to box midfielder when at Barnsley
Cam the Ram
Forestieri supposedly had a bust up with Winnall in training and as a result has been completely dropped from their squad. I wouldn't be surprised to see us being linked to him again soon.
thekingofbuxton
We need a solid midfielder who can link things up and tackle No wonder we were lookiing a James, I doubt we will get him, hopefully there is an alternative under consideration. When is Thorne back?
Anag Ram
I would love us to put an offer in for Josh Morris at Scunthorpe. Creative midfielder right age and great opportunity to step up to the championship.
DontTrustTheDevilInside
I know only seen highlights on Both players but I don't see the appeal in Morris other than stats on paper, looks a lot like a season in league 1 for Blackman while he was on the form at Reading. A lot of penalties, a lot of very average free kicks into crowded boxes that the keeper should have done better with and a few tap ins which we have a lot of players who are capable of. Maddison from Peterborough stands out more as something different to what we have, bit of stocky physicality (much like che Adams we've been looking at or Tomlin who is very effective in this division), some cracking technique from range which it seems a lifetime since anyone but Bradley Johnson has attempted and a good bit of vision/crossing ability to create chances much from very different areas as our wingers who all seem to want to chase the touch line and put a very average ball across the box. The predictability of our attacks is so latent at the moment and we have some decent players at doing it but if it's all we do it's so easy to defend. Need some midfields who will look to thread balls in and take some shots that will force defenders out of organised positions to close down.
