  • An ordinary extraordinary man. RIP

Sad news, a proper Derby man. I expect there will be some fan tribute at our next home game. Applause on 60 minutes to mark his years of service perhaps?

So sad to hear this - RIP Gordon.....

RIP Gordon. You were there through my early days. You will be missed.

Gutted about this, a true legend of the club in every sense. A big piece of Derby County's history has left with him.

RIP Gordon, you will certainly be missed

Proper club man. Such a nice bloke and will be missed. RIP Gordon.

Rest in peace, Gordon. Thanks for all you've done for DCFC!

Sad news to wake up to:(

Rest in peace Gordon. I've been watching Derby for 35 years and he's been a big part of the Rams the entire time.

Such sad news, been part of this club throughout my lifetime. RIP

He was there when I started watching the Rams in 1960, as kit man to Ralph Hann who was then the trainer and he was still there at the end.

Legend is an over worked word - but not in Gordon's case.

He was a true one club man - sad, sad day.

A real club man - a Derby County stalwart if ever there was one. RIP Mr Guthrie

Very sad news, fantastic servant to the club.

RIP "glinting" Gordon.

Proper gutted. I've lost count of how many letters I've written to the editors of football magazines asking them to do an article about him, sadly to no avail.

What an amazing story he would have told after working with so many Derby managers.

RIP Gordon
