North East Ram
If it is a minutes silence, I think it'll be observed for a bit but a applause will just happen. And I'd be happy if it does. A top Ram.

Can't make Tuesday game for work reasons bit feel duty bound to show my appreciation for a true legend. Can someone put this to the club ? RIP Gordon. JoetheRam
Can't be many fans around who can remember seeing us without Gordon being on the sidelines. R.I.P Mr Derby County. Wasn't going to bother with the game tomorrow night, but seems it's the least I can do now.

t'oldu
Best died when Roy Mac was manager at Chessie and we were one of the very few clubs that did the clap on the Sat, pm instead of the silence. It just seemed more fitting....as it would for Gordie Perhaps Roy can sort this.

Ewetube
So saddened by this. His loyalty and service to the club is something that will never repeated in this mercenary age. RIP Gordon!

Hugh Jorgen
Such a sad loss. A true Derby man to the core. Always remember having a natter with him at the Ramarena in the mid 80's, got me a few players autographs, top bloke. RIP Gordon
Dordogne_Ram
So sorry to hear this news. Saw him a few times playing for the Reserves, and it is remarkable that he is so fondly remembered when you consider that, due to injury, he never got to play in the first team, but has still been around for well over 50 years since . A remarkable record, and a remarkable man - thanks for your dedication to OUR Club Gordie. RIP.

ilkleyram
About 8/9 years ago young Ilkley won a competition to get shown round Moor Farm and the Ipro. Luckily he had to have someone with him so I got to go too. Gordon was one of the people we met and what a lovely guy he was - very chatty, very interested and clearly, from the interactions we saw with others of the staff there, players included, held in great respect by everyone. He will be much missed. Thank you Gordy for all you did
SKRam
Heard on Sky Sports this evening just caught a few words, live outside the area. He was a true Ram. Many fond memories of seeing him in his heyday. BBG and Rams legend. There's a star shining bright for you Gordon.
maydrakin
I sat behind Gordon at the cinema at the Damned United. He said that Michael Sheen did a good impression, but he definitely wasn't anything like Brian Clough. RIP Gordon A minute's silence is the very least he deserves in respect from the fans. cosmic
Can't have been many blokes like Gordon in football, committing 60 years of his life to one club. Can't imagine many will replicate that in the future either. Proud he was a Ram. RIP.

All too often contributions like Gordon's aren't recognised at all or only recognised once the person has passed on. It was great to be able to show our appreciation on the day.
