JJs dms reacted to Ram@Lincoln in East Stand
You do talk some utter rubbish.
For the first 15 odd years of PPS I had my season ticket right in the middle, back row of the East stand. The folk around me were all flask and sandwich bringing oldies, everyone sat down the entire game. Sure there was Higgo and his small group of rowdy youngsters in the South East corner but the East stand for the vast majority was seated.
The club definitely haven't got permission from the EFL/FA to turn a seated venue into a standing one (without the necessary safe standing rail seats) as this isn't their decision, it's simply the law. The stadium is 100% seated. The occasional blind eyes may be turned but the club have to show they are making effort to enforce the law. If they do not, the safety certificate will be removed. We've seen it all other stadiums where entire stands are closed, or worse the stadium is closed.

Thing about this what annoys me the most is this person out of all them potential buyers and the administers claimed for months on end he was the preferred buyer! How the heck, when the look at all his history/details they not picked up on it. We spent bloody millions on them clowns, the administers should get done for fraud they robbed us good and proper

Whatever the outcome of this someone is in for a dressing down at a minimum because its been a poo show.
If anyone remembered the old Rough Justice programme, this has all the old hallmarks. Find a potential easy solution (previosly someone with form or a learning difficulty) and never waver from it.

Fantastic game and fantastic atmosphere. I remember a group of about 8 Forest fans to the left of us giving it the big'un until we scored. Behind the goal and nearly all of the two seated stands erupted, and the Forest fans visibly shrunk at the sight. I can easily believe that there were 9000 or more of us there that day.

Not strictly correct, champions went into the European cup/champions League, FA cup winners went into the cup winners cup and the league cup winners went into the UEFA cup, then the remaining top 3 League teams went into the UEFA cup.
When we finished 5th, Liverpool in 2nd won the FACup and the red dogs won the league cup after finishing 3rd, so 4th, 5th and 6th would have normally qualified for the UEFA cup, but for the ban.

That would be the season where the self proclaimed best fans in the universe ever got 4000 less when I went to St James Park than we had at home. Try telling one of them they were averaging about 15k a match and they'll at you like they're going to spontaneously combust . True though

JJs dms reacted to admira in 100 days
It’s been 100 days since this wonderful raggle taggle group of youngsters, aging journeymen and free transfers lost a game of football.
You can’t fail to be proud of how far Clowes, Warne and the players have bought this club so quickly, after some of the darkest days in the clubs history.
It’d be great to get to 101 days tomorrow and the magic number of 20 games unbeaten. We all know what happened last time we achieved that!
It’s also 112 days since our last home defeat.

George Williams, Mick Forsyth and Gary Micklewhite. Signed around the same time...can't be more than £150k in fees, and best part of 1000 games for us between them.

JJs dms got a reaction from BatRam in Any metal heads or musicians on this forum?
Didnt Lemmy always reckon Motorhead was a punk band? Remember them in later years touring with UK Subs and the Anti-Nowhere League and I was supposed to see my favourite band the Stranglers support them in Cornwall at the Eden centre till my missus kiboshed that trip for reasons I won't go into!!

JJs dms reacted to tomsdubs in Serial Whingers Notts Forest playtime, which we simply cannot accept.
They only sing that song then it's a library anyway, same when we go there if they aren't ahead they are dead silent. Never been impressed when visiting putting rivalry aside. The fact all their fans deserted them when they dropped to L1 tells you what kind of fanbase they have.

JJs dms reacted to Srg in Is "woke" confusing kids
Seems a bit young to me to be putting all this on them, especially when you label it.
Have to say, I don't envy those growing up now. It's very difficult, whether it's stuff like this or the fact that bullying doesn't stop when you go home due to every kid having a phone these days.
I have a very young daughter myself, who's not even nursery age yet, and I haven't really got the foggiest how to approach all this when it gets to the time other than being open and understanding.

I don't care much about signings as long as no one leaves. Deadline day departures have shafted us in the past.
