I’m sorry but we can’t put a positive slant on this now .

The administrators promised preferred bidder before Xmas

    They have failed to deliver

I disagree, it's very clear that when CK discovered he wasn't going to be the preferred bidder he improved his offer. That will, obviously, have delayed the naming of that bidder as the administrators would be duty bound to hear that improved offer. It never feels like positive news when somebody drops out like this but if you read between the lines it's encouraging.

With negotiations with many different parties presumably at a delicate stage, I assume that the Administrators are simply being very, very careful that something isn't published that puts any of those negotiations in jeopardy.

Fans need to recognise that transparency in commercial negotiations, with potential legal implications, isn't without risks. The level of impatience being shown by some fans on SM is bordering on the infantile.

Quite - It's entirely normal that the minutes would need to be agreed, I find it strange that people would think otherwise. Even in a run of the mill business meeting I may check with some of the attendees that I capture things correctly.

Imagine the scenario where 4 groups released minutes and they were all slightly different in their understanding, there would be a meltdown!

Agreed. I think there is a deposit payable. So unlikely a buyer would pull out after selection as a preferred bidder. But not impossible.

I would also imagine that anyone still left in the process would have been consulted on the creditors agreement, it would be pointless reaching agreement with those creditors if you didn't know that someone was willing to fund that agreement.

Phil Gee, at Brammal Lane. It took us to the verge of promotion. I remember it as through on goal, and smashing it through the keepers legs, in front of our fans.

Probably made him my idol, that goal.

He also did a great a job on my dad's plastering (a few years later).

The most crushed I've ever been at a game, over 10,000 of us, magic day.

I have realised I now hate 'Boro and Gibson as much as I hate L**ds - and that is really something!

Me too - I wonder if he'll attend when we play them? I actually hope that all this creates a backs agains the wall 'them and us' culture, PPS becoming an unpleasant place to visits for the likes of Gibson, the EFL and self proclaimed football finance experts.

  6. Your choices were excellent. My 3 to add:-

    1) That we continue with and embrace Rooney's 'siege mentality'. This isn't there most talented squad but, imo, it's got real spirit.

    2) That the club continues to invest in, and cherish, the academy. It's the future.

    3) That the fans respond to and reflect my first point, make PPS a fortress and make the team feel at home when away.

I'm optimistic for the future ??

Don’t go to anymore away games this season . You won’t be filling the coffers of other Championship teams. Save the cash and use it next season to buy a friend or relative a season ticket . The players will understand.

I think that's a bad idea. This is a time where we need to show potential owners, players, coaches, staff what a club we could be, what our potential is. This isn't a the to take a backward step.

The Derby County fantasy of playing in League 1 just so you can get to go to "proper football grounds" is very strange. Honestly blows my mind that anyone could think of anything positive to playing League 1 football.

Why aren't we angry that this has happened to our club?

We've slated past players for being "spineless". Our fans seem just the same, we've just rolled over and let the people who have done this walk out the front door with a goody bag.

Anger, most certainly in this context, is a backward looking, negative emotion. There is nothing we can do about what has happened, it's done, look forward.

Anyway, change is good, freshens things up, a complete reset is required whether we like it or not. This gives the opportunity, backwards to go forwards and all that jazz.....

Should have time off as in Rugby. The ref stops the watch as soon as a substitution is indicated. The player being substituted could then crawl off the pitch at 0.1 mph with no advantage being gained.

I don't disagree with the principle but you have to be careful what you wish for, it's not uncommon for Rugby Union games, that should be about 15 mins shorter than football to now comfortably exceed 2 Hours, teams use the breaks to 'take the sting out of the game' or have a breather....
