I've watched the first half a dozen episodes/stories so far, and this stuff is right up my street. It definitely has a 'Twilight Zone' feel to it.

Just had a quick check on nyderby’s last posts. There is nothing positive to say about the team at all. Just consistent moaning about quality of finishing and missed chances.
Nothing to consider how well the team have started playing together despite so many new faces with a short pre-season under their belts, or to congratulate the team on winning 2 of their first 3 matches this season.

It definitely seems more active than Mk 1 after a day or two. 

Anyone going to any of the events?

I remember with great fondness the 68/69 season when we won Division 2 under Cloughie - we smashed attendance record after attendance record that season (over 20,000 of us went to Villa Park). It was a brilliant time, with every game being like a party attended by thousands.

I hit Garry Birtles with a bouncer - then tried to do the same to John Kettley (was a weatherman, a weatherman, a weatherman) in the same match. That didn't go my way. Whereas Birtles was absolutely rubbish, Kettley knew which end of the bat to hold and tonked me all over West Park.

When I played in a 'pub' team in the 1980's, I was often responsible for <1% of the total runs scored, beat that stat!

Just checked - he has played 1 first-class match (the Varsity match in 2019 for Oxford at Fenners). He scored 146 in the first innings.

The most amazing statistic from the game is Hargrave of Shropshire carrying his bat for 69*, and in the process notching up a truly staggering 77.5% of his side's runs.

I felt proud to be there today. It wasn’t about the players on the pitch that have been at the club for five minutes. 
it was about the fans that ARE the club and whose ancestors have been there since the beginning.
