I'm not sure what you've based that opinion on? He has flashes of excellence here and there, but consistency has always been a problem.
And while you can always argue he doesn't get a run in the team, equally ask yourself why he doesn't get a run in the team if he's as good as you say. He's shown no signs of dominating games at either the Championship or L1.
If he's a game changer, why isn't he changing games? I like Sibley but it's always "he will do this if......"
Maybe he will turn out to be amazing, but until he does start doing any of the above you mention, it's just potential that will go unfulfilled. At the moment he's a good squad player but has no more reason to demand a place than anyone else.

Dave, you need to get over this referee obsession and that somehow the world is against us and everything's an injustice and it's always everybody's else fault.  Most the the time the architects of our downfalls are.....us.
It wasn't even a foul on Collins. We were just poor/average and Man City were much better, faster and sharper. That's why we lost and they deserved the win. The ref was ok last night, most of them are, with the odd exception.

The amount of pious hang-wringing and bleating on here, you'd think a game had never been moved before.
All those who go on about Sky being "scum" etc, never watched a televised game? Never tuned in or gone to the pub for a big Premier League game? Ever? If the answer is yes then I accuse you of lying. And if the answer is no then you're a bit of a hypocrite.
I subscribe to Sky Sports and enjoy watching the football and cricket. I like having games on on a Sunday when I'm doing stuff around the house. Sky has done more to make sport accessible to the masses than anyone.
I'm afraid the odd fixture move is collateral damage. Plus the club get £10k they wouldn't have done otherwise.
A tiny percentage of supporters compared to the overall fan base will be inconvenienced. Many would have watched it on Rams TV anyway, and now even more Derby fans have access. In all, it's one of those things but there's benefit as well as disadvantage, so I thought it worth balancing the debate.

More than 3 and a half years since your last visit to the Wham Stadium, it's that time again when Ram's fans descend on our little corner of East Lancashire.
I'm Robert, the Supporter Liaison Officer at Stanley and if there's anything you need to know about your visit on Saturday, just ask here and I'll do my best to answer.

After the WC, from a footballing perspective, there's nothing to stop him coming back here. Clearly by those quotes it's not working out in Birmingham. It would be fantastic to have him back.

Flag across the chest signal was scrapped a couple of years ago. The signal for a penalty now is running towards the corner flag with flag down pointing at the ground, coming to a standstill on the corner.
The ref certainly didn’t give it, so the lino must have. Which to be fair was on his side,  and he had a better view than the ref, he was doing his job. We can argue whether he was right or wrong to give it. Up in the south stand my first impression was it was a penalty.

Anyway, the refereeing performance shouldn’t detract from what was a really poor performance . Mendez laing is about the only outfield player who could say he had a good game.
midfield anonymous yet again. Looked very poor at the back.
worse still, Some of the players just looked half arsed about it

Give me strength. It’s a nonsense trophy, we were playing a team all over the place. You expected more from a back 3 with Forsyth and Stearman in it? Did you miss the part where all of our club left in the summer and our u21 and u18 teams are getting pumped every single week, let alone in games like this? We ended up with Robinson at the back, who’s not even a defender  for crying out loud. We have no depth, this is well established.
With all that said. The only goal they scored was direct from a corner, and Cybulski could’ve had 3, Dobbin another etc. Either team could’ve won that.
Just some really dumb reactions in here tonight which lack any form of context.

Sure, I agree we were unfortunate against Fleetwood and Shrewsbury. Charlton first half but not the second. The problem was though that the away record this season, based on points and goals (and that's what football is ultimately judged on), was wretched so it was a fair stick with which to beat him. He couldn't defend our away record even if we were unlucky in a couple of games. Second half against Charlton we were poor. Lincoln away we were terrible. And that stretched back to when he was assistant manager under Wayne - same sort of performances and lack of goals. So the concern was that it was a continuing trend.
He'd gone on record saying he wouldn't change his philosophy of possession based football and no-one knows whether it would have been successful in this league or not. So in the end the owners had to come down on the fence one way or the other.

I think that's fair enough, the only thing I would mention is mindset. Would Max have made that 40-50 yard run from defence to set up Collins for his second under Liam and/or Wayne? I don't think he would simply because we never saw him do it. More likely we would have camped in for a 1-0 so he would have simply remained at DM.
But Warne clearly wanted his midfield to join the attack, so perhaps that element of difference proved to be crucial on the day?
