I’m not just on about the fact he put Knight out for 12 weeks. He a horrible cheating family man. He’s a terrible manager. He shouldn’t be out getting that smashed as the boss of DCFC during such a horrendous time. You are sticking up for him, he hasn’t brought anything but negative things to this football club. It was only luck that kept us up and if we had any money I’m sure he would be gone. Viva la wazza will take us down baby ?

And it’s all gone quiet, all gone quiet, all gone quiet over there……

    viva la Wazza…

    you are welcome.

Unfortunately the Aberdeenshire flag will not fit in my Cabin bag to meet latest restrictions, so it's not coming along for this trip. I will still wear my Aberdeenshire Rams T-Shirt if anyone still pops into Hide 11am, Silk Mill 12ish, The Tap 1ish, The Exeter 2 ish.

The trip hasn't got off to the best of starts, The Wedding Present gig at The Devils Arse Castleton Peak District on the Friday night has been rescheduled to 2022. So I'm off to see Space at The Hairy Dog instead, and I've had to book an additional hotel for that. Plus I'm off to see The Lathums in Nottingham straight after the match, so I suppose the flag is best staying in Aberdeenshire on this occasion.

The Lathums will be brilliant im sure, let me know how they are.

So me and raich are wrong, dont recall the numerous interviews myself, but what do i know.

I’m not saying you are wrong at all… I am saying that the facts are he didn’t leave us to go to Newcastle. Mad Mel sacked him… end of. He was without a job because (if I haven’t made It clear) Mad Mel sacked him, and then he got the Newcastle job - AFTER Mad Mel Sacked him….

    Countless times, dont think so.

Listen I have zero "skin in the game" as far as really liking Stevie Mac or Mad Mel, they both mean nothing to me, but the facts are, Steve was SACKED by Mad Mel more than likely because of his ego getting the better of him, he did not quit to go to Newcastle, he said on numerous interviews that he wanted to stay at Derby and Newcastle did not appoint him until Mad Mel had sacked him...

It doesnt matter what you "think" Stevie Mac was thinking or not, the facts are that Mel sacked him, so he had no job, so who can blame him for taking the Newcastle job..?

<sigh>I heard / saw him, numerous times, dodging the question. With my own eyes and ears - not via a Twitter quote. Maybe he said that near the end of the furore or something (IDC) but the damage was done. He dodged, used abstract terms and this language that does everything but convince the listener that they're answering with any integrity -  seems to be de rigueur these days.

Ultimately, it's inarguable that he did not do a good job of distancing himself from the job as evidenced by the fact he apologised for the same when he came back!

    Can we move on?

Don’t forget the most important flaw in your argument…he did not leave us for Newcastle. Mad Mel sacked him.

    Why would I do that?

I mean, taste is obviously subjective. I just find it amusing that Morrissey fans are always so touchy, worse than manic Street Preachers fans (Richie manic ain't coming back)

what..? he's not coming back..??? But Elvis is right?

Your obsession with me is weird , did I or another Smiths fan bully you at school ? Anyway , don't start crying again but .....Viva Moz !!!!

I love the Smiths, the second greatest band ever to walk the earth…BUT also cannot stand racist morons…so I am kind of conflicted.
Viva Marr. (The ACTUAL genius behind the Smiths)

My post was about the break down in comms between Rooney and MM, not about who is responsible for the mess we are in.
I agree MM is largely responsible for us going into administration. He came close to being  largely responsible for us being promoted.   He’s been unlucky as well as foolish and even so with a level playing field he’d most likely have taken us up   Etc etc

That is even worse then, you may think (weirdly) that Mad Mel isn’t 100% to blame for this shitstorm we are in (he is 100% to blame by the way) but to say that he isn’t 100% to blame for the break down in communication between him and Rooney is just crazy. That was all Mels fault.
with a level playing field he would have taken us up…..? Can you actually hear yourself, he sounded/wasted hundreds of millions and didn’t get us up

anyway Mel, thanks for coming on here and also thanks for taking the club we all love to the brink of destruction.

As well as the points you mention we have no idea what assurances Rooney might have been given by MM or Pearce about the transfer window and that might have been passed on to players - it’s clear Rooney thought until very late that the embargo would be lifted in time.  I suspect Rooney lost face with a number of people. MM would say of course that the EFl were to blame for that.

Nor do we know what else has been said and done. There is now a PR battle raging, with Maclaren, Rooney and MM (his RD interview and the Daily Mail piece) all battling it out. MM is losing because Rooney has the brand,  and the administrators and 32 have declared their support. All needs to be taken with a healthy dose of cynicism. When it comes to Rooney and MM neither of them is blameless in all this.

What we do not want is them slagging each other off in public

Why is Rooney to blame for any of the mess we are in....??? There is only one person to blame and it certainly is not him.

From what I am seeing (and im not alone in this view) Wayne is coming out of all this with his head held high and the respect of the fans, the general public and the players.

Viva Wazza, the leader of the revolution.

Seriously, why, sell it to me.

    ok…. Here you go.
London Town, best city to VISIT in the country (would rather have my nuts trapped in a vice than live there) eh @Angry Ram

Train drops you right outside the stadium.

Great  view from the top tier.

    Almost always a decent atmosphere

    Never any trouble

The name Millwall normally scares off a lot of the coked up numpteys that usually go to away games

Easy to get out of the stadium and back on the tube and back into London in minutes

Decent pubs around the tube stops on the way to the ground

    We always win there…..almost always…sometimes…

I quite like Millwall as an away day.

Nice enough part of London around the market pre-match, straight in and out on the train for the game itself, with little contact with the away fans apart from in the ground.

yep, i agree probably the best away game to go to in this division.

  12. The demographic at football seems to have changed so much in recent years. The little rat terrier young horrible kid with 3 pints and a load of Columbia’s finest marching powder seems to have fully taken over

they all probably all still live with their mums, so say something to them please.

Billy sharp seems to be a genuine decent sort of guy, has had more heartbreak than any person ever should have to go through and deserves respect not moronic chanting from stupid brainless morons
