Outside the Premier League, yes. Yes it does. Those days are here, right now and we're living in that world.
Not sure which planet you are living on though ?
You genuinely think that your 450 season ticket a YEAR is paying anything towards the wages of the squad…?
out third choice goalie will be on 4 or 5 k a week…

You never touched the ball in the first half and they should have easily been 2 up…..the funniest thing though, how did Garner get man of that match…? Did his mum vote for It? He was useless…Johnson had a decent game and Grabban changed It when he came on because that kid with the funny coloured hair is quite possibly the worst footballer I have ever seen….and I support the Supers so I have seen some rubbish..!

Going into administration is to protect the creditors. Or would you prefer the Hmrc debt just gets bigger and bigger?
I would prefer that we pay the tax bill….because isn’t that what you are supposed to do, you know to keep things like the NHS running who are saving the lives of people we love…?

No.
Has every business in the world gone into administration because of Covid? But some have. Different outcomes can result from the same cause.
The relevant question is, was Derby’s vulnerability as a result of Covid due to a reckless approach? The argument is that with a large average gate, and no parachute payments, we would have a larger proportional loss of income (with no ability to reduce outgoings), than clubs with parachute payments or clubs who had never had large gate receipts. Will it be a strong enough defence? Maybe. The administrators clearly think it’s strong enough to put to the test. Hopefully we’ll find out soon.
You really think your 450 pound you spend on a season ticket pays for anything towards running a football club…? Those days are long gone.

I was lucky enough to go to see them tonight against the Blades. They were absolutely battered for 90 minutes.
they did however have a stone wall penalty turned down again which was hillarious.

Laura Woods will get the job.

We were said to need £13.5 million to see us to the end of season. It’s just possible you know he may not have that money in readies .
and even if he had I don’t see the Bank of Mel is any different to any other bank. If Barclays pulled the plug would we be expecting them to keep sinking money in pouring food money after bad?
Exactly….so he pulled the plug and we went into administration which he knew was going to be the result of him pulling the plug.

The EFL expect owners to cover normal operating losses (as everyone knows that running a club covers that). But if they’re now expecting owners to cover extraordinary losses due to a pandemic (£20m in our case) that’s a very different question.
I think if they are saying that an owner’s full personal wealth should be available to underwrite everything, that’s contrary to the whole principle of having a ‘limited’ company, isn’t it?The pandemic only happened in Derby then…?

Two flaws that in your assertion. First, the assumption that he had any choice . Second the rules include the possibility of a no points deduction or less than 12 points deduction if admin is caused by force majeure. That is also part of the rules.
He had every choice… he chose to stop putting money into the club, do you think he has no money left..? Do you think he is going to the cash point machine today and checking his balance and It says 0:00…? He is STILL a MULTI MILLIONAIRE who, off his own back decided to stop putting money Into the club which in turn meant the club was in administration which in turn means we get 12 points docked.
he knew It, we knew It, the EFL new It, my dog knows It.

What rules did he break? And what rules did he break where he knew what they were? The IDC said Derby couldn't reasonably have known they were breaking the accounting standard , given that the auditors and the IDC istelf all said it was all OK.
We have been docked points because Mel put us in administration….which is a 12 point deduction…he knew this, everyone knew this and yet he did It.

Went and picked up a couple of tickets for Barnsley, decent amount of people there picking up season tickets too, about 45 minute wait.

Derby are affected by EFL saying they are "shocked" we are appealing and if Nixon is right they are again effectivley casting doubt on the merits of Derbys appeal, given the timing of the move... which just stokes up an already angry lynch mob against us.
Lynch mob…? Give me a break..
mel knew the rules, he knew the punishment, he broke the rules, he has to take the punishment.

I was thinking of other examples at our level, like McCarthy at Cardiff, Pearson at Bristol City, but, yeah, I wasn't claiming it was inevitable.
Why though, as a (I assume) Derby fan, the possibility would bother you enough to post that reply is a conundrum only you can solve.
Because It irks me that they looked good last night.

The EFL will drag this out for as long as possible. They wanted us gone last season and didn't get their way, they are sure as hell not going to let us off the hook this season.
Take off your tin foil hat. The only points deduction we have had is because Mad Mel put us into administration. Nothing to do with the EFL.

Teams that do that though - instantly start playing much better for a new manager - always have the potential to implode further down the line, because they clearly have some flakey characters who lack the backbone to rise above personal issues.
They clearly bounced back well from a heavy defeat against Fulham, but let's see how they respond to a longer sticky patch which is inevitable in this league.
Yeah you are right, Chelsea are really struggling now after starting to play much better for a better manager……

Liam Cooper’s side grabbed a late point it seems.
They absolutely battered QPR and thoroughly deserved all 3 points. 2 stonewall penalties turned down in the first half too.
they actually look like a half decent side now, it’s amazing the turn around since Cooper came in, Hughton must have been horrible to work with. -

Maybe 4 or 5 years ago I saw someone about my age (45ish) in jeans and thought, give It up brother, jeans aren’t for old people…. Anyway, that day I stopped wearing them, I grabbed a pair out of the wardrobe this weekend and gave them another go…nope, that’s It, I’m too old for jeans…

Yep…and he did… and he knew the consequences and we went in to administration so we have to face the punishment.
