I was always impressed by Sam Rush in person but in terms of the deals we did, I was extremely disquieted that there was so much overlap between his agency and the club. The question seemed to be "Whose side was he on?" I don't know the answer.

But who picked a fight with him (and lost)?
And picked a fight with drunken Keogh (and lost)?
And reneged on HMRC payments (and dumped the club in the mire)?
As I said, Rush is the start of it, not the be all and end all.

True. He brought McClaren in who made us competitive for the first time in 7 years and gave us a thirst for promotion.
Bring back the halcyon days of Nigel Clough!

The start of our problem(s) was MM sacking SMc, this was followed by MM sanctioning PClement signings, this was followed up by MM sacking PClement, this was followed by MM sanctioning NPearson signings, this was followed by MM sacking NPearson and so on... you catch my drift.
I firmly believe that under Sam Rush's stewardship, the signings were more shrewd, the football better and the hiring and firing more sensible.
When MM took the power from Sam Rush, that's when it fell apart.

Who was it that negotiated the deals for the summer spend under Clement? Which agency did they all have in common, including Clement? To me that is the start of our down fall, mistakes have been made since, no denying that, but Rush has to take his fair share of the blame.

Makes a change from Nixon, but really I just like the picture! ?
I do not want Sam Rush anywhere near our club. He is the start of the reason we are in this situation.

Interested to know which performances you think have been some of the best in our history under him?
The most complete was probably the 4-0 win over Ukraine or the 2-0 win over Sweden in 2018.
Which others? The Germany result was good but it was still a 50-50 game (Germany arguably had the clearer chances prior to Kane finishing it off) and they were not a patch on their 2010-14 side.
The scrapped past Colombia on penalties, needed extra time (and a dodgy penalty) to beat Denmark. Had slender wins at home over Croatia and Czechs. Who am I missing?
Southgate hasn’t performed any better than Sven IMO. The only difference being under Sven we came across better opposition earlier in the tournaments.
And many argue we have a better squad now than we did between 2002-06. I don’t agree with that by the way.
I would also add that in 2002 that if we had played Brazil later in the day and not in the blistering heat we would have beaten them. We were the better side for most of the game until we ran out of energy and had to sit in.

He just doesn't know how to change things up, doesn't seem to have a plan if things aren't going well.

I cannot believe he wouldn't be aware that MLA would want to look at the source of his funds. Fine he says it was to hurry things up, but he's known for some time he's buying the Club.
Yes he would have been aware, but maybe his past experience led him to believe that it would have been quicker as he would have transferred smaller amounts, which could why he tried it with the smaller amounts, when realising it was going to take the same amount of time he could have decided that it would be easier once it is transferred if it was the larger sum.
But who knows, we will just have to wait and see what happens.

That would be Alan Nixon then? He's just again posted a 'Sun exclusive' with those details in.

20 minutes in Nixon is talking about this in more detail. He tried to hurry the payments through to purchase the club by doing smaller amounts, hoping that it would clear quicker. However as it would not he decided he would just transferred the whole amount.
Whether or not it is true we will have to wait and see, but Nixon isn't trying to say he is trying to do anything dodgy, just trying to rush it through.

Why all this negativity, will we be at pride park in 9 months time listening to a small section of fans calling for ck and rooney's heads. We have got to be positive after all of us have gone through.
9 months? Optimist.
