Without sounding rude, if you have something to tell us all why not just say it instead of carrying on with all of this cryptic nonesense.
You claim to have the clubs best interests at heart, so surely if you have some earth shattering news then surely you would need us all to know to get us on your side and putting some pressure on the ownership.
Now I don't know you but from what other people say you seem to be a nice genuine guy, but from an outsider point of view, the tactics you are employing on here just make you lool like an attention seeker. I'm not saying that as an insult just letting you know why you will potentially be harming the cause that you say you want people to join with you and fight.
I know you've said you wont say anything because people know who you are but what are you expecting? Mel Morris and Stephen Pearce to come round your house when it is dark and bury you under Pride Park Stadium?
As long as what you are saying is factual and not libellous I'm really not sure why you think that you cannot say it on here.

You can call me a grammar pedant but I don’t care. This “appealing a decision “ drives me mad so I’m glad to see that John Percy correctly says “appeal against this decision “. “Appealing a decision” is almost as bad as saying “of” instead of “have”.

And that’s the problem! Right here!! You slag off Mel because of the position we are in now yet why are we here?! Because he tried to compete against teams with parachute payments. Went about it the wrong way but he tried. Wednesday did exactly the same look where they are. Reading will be the next one, if they don’t get up next season I would then say the red dogs would be next.

Run the club sustainability- no ambition sack the board. Spend money trying to get promotion against teams with more resources - sack the board.
We all need a reset of expectations because ultimately we want a football club to support at the end of the day that we feel connected to, whatever division we are in.

How I'd love GSE to return. They did run the club efficiently. Better than the potential owners we're linked with now.

A well-written, logical arguement, LR.  However, there's a lot of supposition in it - for the very reason you mention "The communication with the fans has long been cut leaving us in the dark about the future of the club that has led to general panic and mass consternation at the perceived or actual state of the club."
My concern is that for all we know, the 3 'possible' failed takeovers might have been the only serious ones that returned a half-sensible sum to Mel, whilst I'll guess still leaving him with a massive shortfall.  His choice, he knew the risks.  There may not have been any alternatives that were palatable. We just don't know.  We all want to know the state of affairs our club is in and why the S&P Agreements have been signed with organisations that for one reason or another have not completed the transaction, but we won't - and sadly, nor should we.  These are very sensitive matters, which are bound by layers of NDA's, for good reason.
No point in raking over old coals again.  He made some bad calls and we are paying the price, but we just don't know what issues may or may not be responsible for the delay in a sale taking place.  I'm sure when it's all done and dusted, at some point Mel may open up about some of the challenges he faced when trying to do the right thing as his parting jesture.  Surely, he won't want his legacy tarnished by a 'lack of interest' and I doubt very much, that is a factor.

I don’t quite follow your logic with this statement:
Many detractors say, "If only Mel had taken different decisions," but this is the same as saying, "If only we had a local fans, with loads of money, who had made some different decisions." But, I'm not sure that there is a local fan with loads of money who would have made different decisions.

Aren’t the detractors just saying they wish he’d shown something similar to the sound financial decision making he must adopt in his business dealings given what a successful business man he is? I say “similar” because I know running a football club isn’t the same as running a business but he appears to have allowed the club descend to a perilous position (even before Covid). Being a local fan is a nice bonus but certainly not essential.
I’m grateful to Mel for his passion for the club and desire to get us into the premier league but he would seem to have made mistakes and for this has rightly been criticised (or moaned at as you say) but, you can’t just say “oh well he tried his best and had the best of intentions so it’s all OK”. You’re right, we all make mistakes but we have to be accountable for them.
The big caveat to the above is that none of us really know what’s gone on (hence your use of the word “perceived I guess).

Ultimately when Rooney leaves, hopefully this time next week he will be gone, he can look back at why he failed. For me not bringing in an experienced number 2 (as the season went on he could of swallowed some pride and asked Mac), his tactics and substitutions were ill thought, failure to strengthen the squad in January (genuinely how many would we want permanently) and finally his failure to get the players fighting for him and the shirt.
Stay up he must go - if we stay up it will purely be due to others failing to take advantage
Go down he must go - 6 defeats on the bounce in our position is unforgivable

I agree with you mate.  One omission I'd add though is we haven't replaced Huddlestone .  We have no midfielder with any craft. I assume the thinking was Rooney could do some of the job with Bird improving in this regard with Bielik to come back.  Neither has happened as Bird is Butterfield on a bad day and Rooney spent 4 weeks of eating dominos everyday, then Bielik bust his knee. We perhaps have 4 goals from midfield this season.
In January we should have used any available resources to sign a decent midfielder on loan who could score and create allowing Shinnie to do his actual job and a striker with pace.  We wasted the last toss of the coin on quantity over quality.  Mengi hadn't kicked a first team ball. one was coming back from a hernia op, we got a lesser spotted Beningame, Roberts has one goal in 70 games and Boro had seen nothing from him and Gregory couldn't get a kick at Stoke and was the same player we had in Richards.  Gregory has done better than I thought to be fair but has gone the way you'd expect from a striker in his 30's who hasn't played for a year.

I have no gripe with Mel, obviously things haven't gone to plan and this last 2 seasons it has fallen apart. Who is to say any other owner would have faired any better in his tenure. We've certainly had a few good seasons with him at the helm and a lot of upheaval ,skulduggery , managers along the way.
I have no reason to believe Mel had didn't havethe best intrest of the club and for the most of his tenure poured significant personnel funds to pursue success .We can all criticse ,bad signings bad managers in hindsight but most on hear were raving Rooneys arrival as a player ,Rooney as Manager. And I  Can't remember many moaning about any of the numerous players being bought during the last 5 years. Were a fickle lot but Mel is a ram ,he did his best didn't work out but I take my hat off to him for having a go.

My view of his ownership is that he’s pumped in a lot of his own personal fortune and he clearly wants the club to succeed.
The problem is he’s made a number of very poor decisions.....critical decisions. Most recently the decision to bring in Rooney and the promote him to manager.
It’s a shame because I believe he’s a good guy, but his decision making has bought us to where we are now, teetering on the abyss!

Please Mel, it's not too late. Just give Mac the last game of the season. He's been watching every game so he'll already know exactly what to do. Players like Jozwiak would flourish in his system. Mac's shown he can get an instant impact before, he only needed half-time once vs Ipswich. Just any sort of change could give the team a boost. You can't just let us get relegated whilst doing nothing.

Did anyone else notice that macs disappearance from the stands during games coincided with rooneys statement that if the club had wanted steve as manager they would have hired him....
And that his disappearance coincided with our massive dip in fortunes( together with a lack of beilik)
Perhaps waynes over confidence during his brief period of success led to him dismissing macs input.
If it was the case then its about time that wayne asked him for a little assistance again, preferably in the coaching dept.
To my mind its madness that one of the best coaches in the country isnt on the coaching field every day with wayne doing what he does best.

Considering Rotherham seem to be our main rivals this season, how many of there players would you actually put in our team? 1 or 2 if that? There squads so bad they were even happy to take Jozefzoon of us.
Does this not suggest that we should at least be above Rotherham's level? does this not suggest that either the players aren't playing to there ability? or (more likely in my opinion) the coaches aren't getting the best out of them?

I'm starting to wonder if Mel is really gullible
iPro - biggest sponsorship of it's kind...other than having no money
Sam Rush - best thing since sliced bread but suddenly he's out and being taken to court
FFP -we're fine, no worries, well inside...oh flip, we need to get more creative with our accounts and flog the stadium to stay compliant
Henry Gabay - takeover in place, brilliant bit of business - oh he's not paid up and now we can't pay the players...oh, he's now under arrest
Sheikh Khaled - fantastic news for the club, here Sheiky have a go at running things whilst your cheques clears, oh he's not paid up and now we can't pay the players, but he's still going to buy the club imminently!
Erik Alonso - so you've no obvious means to buy the club, hang around with club killer Matt Southall, but that's no problem - it's fantastic news for the club. Here have a long chat with the manager to discuss future plans.
I know that Mel has always tried to act in the best interest of the club - he's one of our own and I dearly hope he's back to his healthy best quickly quickly, but come on. He must be the unluckiest demi-billionaire on the planet.
I wonder what happened to the 'local' offer around Christmas. Surely if Mel just wants out that's the way to go...assuming the Alonso thing doesn't pan out.

Sorry, I meant what he was saying sounded more reasonable, with the context added.
Not necessarily what his plans are. I am not altogether too sure what anyone's motives are of buying a football club if they're not what he is talking about, other than if you're a genuine local fan like Mel who happens to be loaded.
How many of those are there out there? Very few, I would imagine. And even if you were, seeing how Mel is thought about by a significant section of our supporter base, you'd probably be steering well clear?
Unfortunately with the money in the game being as skewed towards the Premier League as it is these days, these sort of occurrences are more the norm, unless you want to be a plucky community club languishing in Division Two.
Ambition and ethics don't seem to be good bedfellows in the modern game.

The issue with Sibley highlights one the main issues I have and why I am rapidly losing interest in Derby under Rooney.
We had nearly got ourselves out of this mess and rather than try to add more creativity we went the other way. It is rubbish. We have just slammed into reverse.
Our manager pushes the need for players to be positive, be proactive. Yet, our team is picked to stop the opposition. Our subs reactive and often too late. He wants more creativity yet the few who have such skills are mere cameos. Is Sibley expected to win the game in 5 mins?
