If one was feeling particularly vindictive, one might point out that a good manager would have only got them promoted once and wouldn't have needed attempts 2 and 3...

In my time following Derby I don’t think I’ve seen many come back from where Warne stands now. He’s fast losing the crowd and the players look disinterested. 
 
im struggling to put together an argument, beyond the fact we’re skint, that he should stay. The plan was to sign experienced pros and get out of league 1, barring a miracle this isn’t happening this season, after which we will have to build a new squad again. 

With all of the above in play it becomes really hard to how there’s a way back for him.

Yeah not to be mean about him but if he was a horse he'd be glue by now tbh.

Either way nobody wants to sign for a pub team manager with a pub team coaching staff. No reputation in the game, non of them played at a decent level & other than having some success playing kick it long at Rotherham they have no reputation or respect in the game. Get them all gone & start again

We're not three games in though. We are nearly 12 months in to Warne and we've been getting steadily worse since last winter. We finished last season poorly and we've started this one in even worse shape. It's not an isolated three match blip.

This is where I’m at, it’s not really on, just don’t say it, what does it add? It’s hardly going to win him any plaudits amongst the fans and, worse, just makes him look a bit s***.

I thought he should’ve gone when we failed to make the playoffs. However, was willing to give him a pre season to sign some players, and see how we started. 
 
We’re way, way worse than we were before. There is absolutely no excuses now. He’s prioritised defenders that are making mistakes left right and centre, leaving us with nothing to sign attacking players. Playing a system that doesn’t work for any of the players we currently have and is making them look way worse than they collectively are.
It’s not working at all. Enough is enough for me.

I think sadly David Clowes made a mistake with Paul Warne, sadly I think Derby County is too bigger club for  him, wether we have money or not the club has always attracted decent  players with the right manager . I don't think Paul Warne has the ability to attract the right players and it looks like bigger clubs don't trust him to care for their loan players in the right way. I thought Osula was a prime example, he was raw but had something different that could make a difference but he hardly ever played him.
His tactics baffle me, most games are won in centre midfield, all preseason we looked like we had a big hole in the middle of the pitch, and I still don't think he has noticed how bad it is, also Hourahaine as Captain ' give over ' over rated has been, who can't control a game, is tasked with leading team 

What a week - and it’s only Tuesday! 
Stupid comment to make by Warne, for sure, who is clearly very angry. The whole situation just looks fraught to me at the moment, we’ve painted ourselves into a corner with the EFL budget and we have players who want to leave that we can’t replace if they go. Now, unfortunately, it just seems like there is a cloud over the club at the moment compounded with that Warne interview. If we hadn’t banned our entire budget on experience, it probably wouldn’t be so disappointing. The truth is that we’ve made a very significant investment on getting promoted this season and we look absolutely miles off it. 
Where we go from here, that is the question? My opinion is that any Bamford who doesn’t want to be here can get to f***, we’re literally talking about League One footballers - I care slightly more about some more than others, but ultimately I can’t wait for the day where this level of player simply can’t get a deal at Derby County. As I said, it’s just a shame we’ve invested most of budget in players here for one or two years to get the club up rather than spend our time developing something.

We’re in league 1, this is the mend and make do league, we need to learn how to buy cheap sell high. 
 
The reality is players we would’ve picked up relatively easily in the championship are now off the menu. We’ll have first pick of those at our level and decent loan opportunities. 
 
yes it would’ve been incredible to start with a full set of good strikers but it’s not that realistic, if we get a youngster in and any one of smith / Rhodes / waggy we would’ve done very well.
