SFox1993 reacted to Bald Eagle's Barmy Army in Jason Knight - joined Bristol City
Imagine B4 becoming an estate agent.
"Erm, yes mate, for this one bedroom flat in Alvaston, I'll get it on the market for offer over £1.75 million" 😂

Because your expectations are repeatedly unrealistic when it comes to the fee we’re going to get.
There is nothing to suggest we will get the sort of money you claim for Knight, you’ve said £10 million…. None of the clubs currently rumoured to want Knight will be able to spend that much money on one player.
Your last comment was “10 times that amount” when someone said £2.5m, that’s £25 million…. There’s no way we’d ever get that and Knight definitely isn’t a £25m pound player at this point.
If there’s a bidding war then perhaps the rumoured £2-2.5m becomes more like £3-4m, maybe even £5m if something crazy happens. But there is pretty much zero probability of any club paying £10m for a player with one year left on his contract at a league one club unless that player is a rare rare talent. And as good as Knight is/could be, he isn’t going for £10m this window.

SFox1993 reacted to Jourdan in Playoffs
80 points is our target, so in that sense, we still have work to do. It’s in our hands, which is what is most important.
16 points from 10 games sounds simple enough but a few unfavourable results would put us under pressure once again.
I don’t think we can get too comfortable. Who would have seen Burton beating Wycombe yesterday? Or Cheltenham beating Peterborough? There are bound to be more twists and turns to come.
I am also not worried about who we get should we finish up in the play-offs. There is very little to separate the teams in the mix. We can beat anyone on our day and we can also be beaten if we have an off day or make mistakes at key times.
The question is whether we can dig down deep and find something from within to give the play-offs a really good go. I think players, fans and coaches are starting to feel the effects of a long, gruelling season.

I don't care what music is played, I'd just like it turned down by a few decibels.

SFox1993 reacted to jono in Harvey White - signed on-loan for rest of the season
I really like the look of him. Very young but has a visible calmness with the ball and doesn’t showboat. Intelligent short passes. I also reckon we’ll see more of him taking free kicks, looks like he knows what he’s doing. I’d like him to start on Saturday

SFox1993 got a reaction from LeedsCityRam in New Chair and Vice Chair of RamsTrust
Tbh i've previously not liked the RT mainly because the previous person in charge was up their own ass. That and the idea of people taking payday loans etc to get season tickets & finally repeatedly claiming to speak for all fans , when all fans are not signed up to their group. However having just listened to that interview im willing to listen and if it continues the same way i might even consider joining.

Your ability to listen and change you mind has no place in the modern world comrade.

SFox1993 reacted to Steve Bloomer's Washing in NEW SBW PODCAST: 'Top six Trotter toppled'
Hey everyone
It's that time again - we've got a new podcast out......
A jubilant Chris, Anton and Ollie (Derby County Blog) celebrate the Rams' fourth league win on the bounce, as Derby see off fellow playoff chasers Bolton with two two great goals from Nathaniel Mendez-Laing and Conor Hourihane.
We assess the two goalscorers' fine run of form, Max Bird's screamer against Cheltenham... and whether the top two in League One can still be caught.

SFox1993 reacted to Valiant59 in Port Vale (A) Tues 24th Jan
As a Vale fan I was gutted after the match but the consensus among our fans was that the best team won. Thought we edged a tetchy first half but after scoring we sat back and invited you on and you duly obliged. Last 20 minutes you looked like a top of the table side. That was the best our goalie has played all season! Unfortunately both our main strikers(Ellison and Wilson)! are out injured so we were VERY limited up front. As for the away following, I thought you lot were superb. Sang loudly all through the match apart from, understandably, the 10 mins after we scored. I've supported Vale since 1969 and think overall that was THE best overall away backing I've heard in that time. You should be proud. That stand you were in has excellent acoustics and will be our home end next season with away fans being housed in the stand opposite you last night. As for on the pitch I'd say, though you only really started playing late on, you were the second best team I've seen at Vale Park this season, with Ipshit being clearly the best. Hope you get promoted with Sjoke City exchanging places with you! Again, great effort by your support last night! Our pitch is s*** but looked like Wembley compared to the old Baseball Ground mud heap of the 70s. Didn't seem to hinder Kevin Hector, Roger Davies or Alan Hinton? too much though.

SFox1993 reacted to Hoppo in Port Vale (A) Tues 24th Jan
Just seen the replay it was class. Springetts efforts to keep the ball in play as well before he knocked it to Dobbin. The whole move was 100% effort from all of them.

SFox1993 reacted to Millenniumram in Morgan Whittaker
Morgan Whittaker always struck me as a bit of a knob when he broke through here. Never seemed to put the effort in that the other lads did, which I imagine is why Rooney got rid. Undoubted talent, but that counts for nowt in football without respect and hard work.

SFox1993 reacted to Caerphilly Ram in Burton Albion (A) (Sat 10th Dec 2022, 2pm KO)
This makes it sound like Derby fans called for his head and hounded Rosenior out of the club.
David Clowes saved the club from going under, appointed Rosenior as interim coach, then made a decision to appoint Paul Warne and his staff as the management team he wanted to take the club forward, relieving Rosenior of his interim role. That’s it, that’s what happened.
Some people preferred Rosenior’s style of football to Warne’s, fair enough, but he’s gone and Warne is now the manager. The owner gave him a 4 year contract, presumably because he’s got more patience and trust in the process than some of us fans seem to, with his theory being that Warne has proven his ability to get teams out of this league.
Todays result could have been better, could also have been worse, some of the reactions to that seem extreme to me. The season isn’t over yet, there’s plenty to play for.

SFox1993 reacted to BathRam72 in Paul Warne appointed as Head Coach
I really can't believe anyone can honestly be calling for Warne to go after 9 league games. Pathetic. It is all the chopping and changing over the last few years that has in part got us where we are.
He inherited this team and is trying to get them to play his way. Obviously there will be a few who don't really fit his mould and if he gets in his type of player in the transfer window, we might start to see who isn't at the starting gates.
He has also had a horrible run of injuries on top of a pretty small squad.
Any one on here wanting him gone need to give their empty heads a wobble.
