HectorsHouse reacted to Reggie Greenwood in Liam Rosenior
Been watching the Rams since 1970. Seen Managers come and go , some great plenty mediocre. I think we may just have a gem in young Liam I’m pleased with the work he is doing and think he has a fine future in the game hopefully taking the Rams back up the leagues.

HectorsHouse reacted to i-Ram in LG 1 appropriate transfer suggestions
Take £200k for Sibley, and get someone in who can influence a game.

HectorsHouse reacted to Mckram in Lewis Dobbin
Is it just me that thinks the short period of time he came on against Shrewsbury he looks like a seriously good player?!
At times he was walking round their players and had a few neat turns/touches.
I think he will probably go on to be one of our best players this season.

HectorsHouse reacted to i-Ram in Matchday Thread - Shrewsbury Town v Derby County (16/08 19:45)
Disappointing result, and probably does point to the fact that we do need something different in the attacking third. Not a criticism of Collins, because he worked his nuts off, but how many times did he actually touch the ball? Poor penetrating passes from those behind him. We should also be taking a few more risks out wide, whether it wingers or full backs. We must have only broke through on the wings a few times, but there seemed no great desire to take a man on. Knight, given his quality, perhaps the worst culprit. He kept passing the ball backwards, rather than looking for the give and goes that Byrne was doing last season.
Anyway, can’t knock the effort, and in truth we could just as easily be on 8 or 10 points this season with a little more luck. 7 will do, but hopefully we can be more enterprising on Saturday. Up the Rams!

LR should have got some of that magic powder which makes a brand new football team into Man City, 5 games this squad has played together, Cotterills teams just let you have the ball and hit you on the break, Yes we had the lions share of the ball...but people this is not a sprint it'll take time.
There will be more games like this...posters have said "it's some teams Cup Final" when they play us, LR will have to find a way of breaking teams like this down, An away point at Shrewsbury doesn't fill all with enthusiasm but it's a point.
No complaints from me...?

HectorsHouse reacted to Tombo in Matchday Thread - Shrewsbury Town v Derby County (16/08 19:45)
And honestly, if anyone can explain to me what they think Rosenior got wrong to make them think he needs the sack, I'm all ears.
Can't believe I'm hearing calls like that this early on. Its as if none of you have ever actually watched football before this season

HectorsHouse reacted to Tyler Durden in Matchday Thread - Shrewsbury Town v Derby County (16/08 19:45)
Can't understand the footballing logic of some posters on here....in one breath they're saying we are boring and pedestrian and safe and the other we need to sign shed loads more strikers....we can have 3 strikers playing for us but if they never get the ball it's totally pointless.
How many chances did we actually create tonight?

HectorsHouse reacted to DavesaRam in New signings, who will be first...and next?
We don’t have Sibley for the number 10 role. He’s for sticking on the bench or playing at left wing. It’s even written into the articles of association for Derby County Football Club Ltd that Louie Sibley must never be played in his best position, except for a few minutes at the end of a match we have already lost, and then only for a maximum of 3 times per season.

Okay, I'll be unwoke, is the lad not a 'young black lad' then?

HectorsHouse got a reaction from Jimbo Ram in Conor Hourihane - Signed 2 year deal
Hourihane and Shane Long/ McGoldrick possibly..??
-
HectorsHouse got a reaction from Will Hughes Hair in Jason Knight
Yep, hope we can retain him and Rosie utilities him correctly.
It’s bizarre that most people eulogise about Bryson but some fail to see that Knight is from the same mould…
Great engine, incredible tenacity and an eye for goal.. if deployed correctly you could build your team around him Cashin, Bird and Sibley in the spine of the team..

HectorsHouse reacted to i-Ram in Lee Buchanan - Gone to Werder Bremen
Derby fans never cease to amaze me. 21 year old who has represented England at U19, U20 and U21 level, and he’s not considered good enough by many for our forthcoming season in League 1. I do hope we can hold onto him, and he matures into a quality defender for us over the next few years along with Cashin.

HectorsHouse reacted to Ghost of Clough in Nathaniel Mendez-Laing - Signed 2 year deal
First Festy, then Ebiowei, now Mendez-Laing. I'm beginning to see a pattern...
You aren't a fan of wingers and want to play just CMs instead? ?

HectorsHouse reacted to TomBustler1884 in Let's not be "that club"
Disappointed to finally have relegation confirmed tonight but it was always the most likely outcome.
Looking ahead to L1, assuming the takeover happens, I'd love us to avoid being that club who thinks we will walk the league and beat all comers.
We are set for the biggest squad overhaul we've ever seen which will be HUGELY unpredictable. We will have a target on our backs all season long, and there are some big clubs here who have more experience of the slog than we do.
I'm hoping that in August I am confident and think we can compete for promotion, but let's just temper expectations for now and keep the "everything is a bonus" approach, its contributed to the best season ever for atmosphere.

HectorsHouse reacted to angieram in QPR vs Derby County matchday thread, Monday 18th April, 3pm
Feels like we have come full circle since that fateful day at Wembley in 2014 where cheating QPR beat us undeservedly and went up to the Premier League at our expense.
I was so proud of our young team that day, despite the loss. Morris took over ownership, surely it was just a matter of time before we were promoted ourselves.
Eight long years later and we all know how that turned out. The EFL gave QPR a gentle slap on the wrist for their misconduct when they inevitably came back down, whilst pursuing and torturing Derby for lesser offences over several seasons. Morris wasted millions, upset a lot of people and then dumped us in the mire.
So here we are again needing a win against QPR, this time the stakes feel even higher.
We have a poor record recently at Loftus Road (Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium) and I have never seen us win there. I am rightly staying well away, don't want to jinx the team!
But if anything, I am even prouder of our team this season than I was in 2014. The fight, resilience, team spirit, leadership, support and sheer guts has been a revelation. So whatever happens today, I applaud each and every person involved with our club.
DCFC, the team for me. COYR! ?

HectorsHouse reacted to Yani P in The Administration Thread
Would be great if the Cardiff game was a sellout..just to pay full respect to the great effort of our management and playing staff..wherever we are at that moment, relegated or still fighting it shouldn't matter..the effort and dedication shown this season deserves a full stadium to celebrate.

HectorsHouse reacted to Bald Eagle's Barmy Army in The Administration Thread
It really doesn't matter who became PB, somebody somewhere would be dragging something up to try and change peoples minds.
Anybody and I mean anybody willing to invest in DCFC today needs our full backing. If that's CK, brilliant, bring it on young man and see where you can take us.

Wait for months on end for a PB, Finally have one about to be announced and we character assassinate him over something that was said over 10yrs ago.
The Derby Way ?

HectorsHouse reacted to May Contain Nuts in Luke Plange - signed for Palace & loaned back
Lacks the support and a play-style to suit his game.
But damn him for not playing like an experienced, physical, route one hold-up style no 9 at 19 years of age all the same.
Wish he was more like Calum Ball or Connor Wickham.
