I was thinking more along the lines of another forum rather than another thread to be honest - I haven’t got many folk on ignore, but we have a top candidate here….

That’s sad - my son (probably aged about 5 at the time) was lucky enough to get called up on stage with him at one of the Derby pantomimes. Lionel was great with all the kids - put them all at ease and made it an evening to remember. A true entertainer - RIP.

Can't see them attracting a top manager at this point in the season - one of the elite would want something to build on so they'll probably attract an o.k. manager tasked with keeping them up and maybe getting a few older 'stars' in January to provide a bit of quality. I could see Lampard or Howe giving it a go.....
One of the bigger names would want them to be an established top-half team and would demand a whole summer transfer window to carry out recruitment. Spurs attracted Conte because they already have quality in the squad - who do Newcastle have? It's almost a case of starting from scratch...

Nah. We'll need a separate thread for every bidder so that we can all postulate on their obvious unsuitability; are they too 'noisy', too presumptuous, insufficiently well endowed (financially or otherwise), too prominent on Twatter or maybe just too American.
If they meet all of the aforementioned metrics then we can simply invent a load of new reasons as to why they offend our delicate sensibilities and need avoiding at all costs.

Said this at the game - the defence look calm and composed with Allsop behind them because they pretty much know what he's going to do  (with the exception of dropping the ball) - they look shakey with Roos in goal because they don't have a clue what he's going to do and because he doesn't command his area. The differences in shot stopping ability may favour Roos, but that's not all that a keeper has to do - if the defence are nervous/affected by him being there then Allsop wins out every time.....

Roos is just an error waiting to happen for me. His performance probably averages a 5 or 6 out of 10 most games but people seem to think he's better because he is a good shot stopper and has made some big saves at important moments. Big saves are all that people remember from matches, but there is so much more to being a good GK than just shot stopping. 
Whilst Allsop is not really much better, he seems to be a more consistent 7 out of 10 most games. I think with Allsop's ability the ceiling is probably lower, but the floor is definitely higher.
Is it a coincidence we have started conceding goals again since Roos came back into the team?

Not only is it a vast waste of plastic, but if you read the small print on the bags, you'll find that the vast majority are only giving a fixed amount of any money they make to the named charity - the rest makes a nice tidy profit for the people doing the collecting.....if you want to help a charity, re-use the baags and take your stuff to the local charity shop. At least you then know that the money is going where you want it to instead of into a cynical businessman's pocket....

Ah, Mr glass half empty, I’ve been expecting you. 

You have a far higher opinion of their defenders than I do - Maguire struggles against quick mobile players, Shaw is far better going forward than defending, Lindeloff is an average centre half and Wan-bissaka is an accident waiting to happen. Man Utd getting their just desserts for vastly overpaying for average players….

Has anyone ever seen him and Ploppy from Bristol in the same room?
