They’re placing a lot of stock in the owner. The owner who decided to ditch Eustace and bring in Wayne. With good football sense like that he can have as much $$$ as he likes but they’re still more likely to slip straight through to L2 than an immediate return to the Championship.
Deluded f***wits just setting themselves up for more humiliation come the end of next season.

In a statement of intent of his ambitions he’s already outlined plans to expand the club car park to 200 hundred spaces.

One of the concerns before the season was how we were going to replace McGoldrick's goals. It was the biggest cloud on the horizon, but I'm always happier when the goals come from all over the pitch, rather than just one source. Well done to everyone for stepping up. But it helps to have a prolific striker, so well done also to James Collins who showed why he has scored so many in his career, and proved himself a leader and figurehead.
Even the defense chipped in with (more than) their fair share:
Cash - 3
Bradley - 3
Fozzy - 3
Nelson - 2
Ward - 2
Wilson - 2
Shame we didn't get a pen in the last 10 mins against Carlisle, could have let Wildsmith take it to complete the set! 😄

When I reflect back on the season, this is the most pleasing thing. The number of players that contributed to our goal total was fantastic.
I think between contributing to the goals tally and/or the clean sheets tally, pretty much everyone offered something at some point. Vickers, Rooney, Elder, Weston, Fapetu, Robinson, all had their moments in either the league or Ronald McDonald Cup.

Ah, the great Richard Keogh.
He was blaming others for his own mistakes.
A great player, and a great player for us no doubt but I always used to be amused by Peter Shilton whenever he conceded. Whether it was his fault or not (and sometimes it blatantly was!) the reaction was pretty much always the same - hands on hips and the death stare at the nearest defender as though they'd personally called him a c**t! 😄

I'm working my way through the highlights from every game at the moment - it's amazing how everyone does something through the season. Fornah's great run and cutback to NML for the late winner against Bristol Rovers (getting us 2 extra points), Wash's goals against Burton, Northampton and Exeter, Bark's scoring glut over Christmas (4 goals), TJJ bagging 3 points against Port Vale, Gayle scoring 3 in 5 and netting us 9 points, Thommo's goal against Oxford helping turn around a 0-2 deficit....

Best bit on their vlog was them thinking Hull had scored against Plymouth. All singing we'll fight to the end. Then quiet as a dormouse when they realised Plymouth were winning.. priceless.
It was a block of Birmingham fans who deliberately made out that Hull had scored. And they did it twice. Seems even some Birmingham fans hate Birmingham….😂

He was there long enough to do his part though. His Derby rehabilitation is nearly complete now.
Rooney, Rowett, Eustace, Bielik, Buchanan, Whittaker......Well done lads, mission accomplished 🫡

Given that their owners appear clueless I wouldn't bank on an immediate return. Hopefully they'll stay down there a good few years. Carlsberg would be them taking everything for granted, imploding, and ending up slipping straight through into L2! 😄

I went on their site and most of them think they will sign a load of star players and walk league one. Deluded t****.
Pretty much what Sunderland, Sheff Wed, Ipswich, Leeds, Forest, Southampton and Charlton all thought at one time or another. Good luck with that.

This also resulted in Smith playing some of his best football with us.
Smith and Bradley really stepped up towards the end of the season when we needed them most. Nelson and Cash were great for the majority of the season, but I thought Bradley was a colossus over the last month. Similarly, Smith really came into his own around the same time as well. I love that we really carried no one this year. At different times in the season everyone has contributed something.

Uh oh, you’ve just made Topknobber’s hit list….! 😲
I don’t think I’ve ever actually met a Birmingham fan in real life, which I find remarkable but probably telling.
