  1. Stoke, Birmingham, Milwall, Birmingham, Man Ure, Sunderland, Middlesboro, Hull, QPR, Forest, Leeds, Leicester, Portsmouth, Cardiff, Chelsea, Celtic, Burnley, Blackburn and a new addition to the list on Saturday - Sheff Weds - after sharing a train with a bunch of their finest on the way to MK singing when Derby County die ……particularly some beer and coked up (other soft drinks are available) cocky twenty-something little pr1ck in a blue cagoule who was giving it loads at my 14 year old daughter!! Backed up by twenty of his mates - he must have felt such a king !!!       Erm……..sorry…...rant over…..??‍♂️

  2. I hope to god that this level of expectation that has crept in for some supporters doesn’t become toxic if results aren’t favourable early in the season and ruin the togetherness of last season!!! On paper LR (and the rest) has assembled a decent crop of players but that’s all it is - and it is still incredibly light in some areas for what will be a long season. Part of the success of last season was that every time the team stepped on the pitch they had unequivocal support from the fans - even when results weren’t going for us. I’d be more disappointed with the loss of that positivity than I would missing out on Top 2.

Look on Wiki pal. The striker Collins started at Villa but never played for them.

The one we are after lived in Twycross/Market Bosworth area while he was at Luton - moved the whole family to Cardiff - not sure if he kept his house in the area and rented it out but if he did its only 30 mins from Derby so would be convenient.

At least we are all experts in administration, accounting, P&S, stadium valuations, council funding, leasing arrangements and character assassinations now

Although I feel there’s still a development need around the art of communications!!  Give me a couple of days and I’ll confirm more detail…..

But (from memory) the EFL articles state that creditors who are clubs are football creditors. End of, that’s the way it’s written. So it doesn’t matter what the claim is for

Honest to God, Q has tried to persuade 3 QCs that the claimants are not football creditors and has failed

    I think you’re incorrect.

I think both the W and M claims are just “claims”  until they are proven or a negotiated settlement is reached (without requiring the case to be proven) - at which point it becomes a liability - and in turn the clubs making such claim and establishing the liability - become a football creditor.

    Paragraph 4 in this one

    https://www.efl.com/contentassets/c9fc5dceaa7f4b62b81dca0b9e2f7c9d/2020.10.26---decision-on-mfc-redaction.pdf

That's where the stitch up was agreed I bet - "drop your Arbitration against us and we'll support your case against Derby"

Paragraph 32 is also huge in this document. Basically says MFC compensation case is built almost entirely on the issue of “inflated value” of the sale of pride park …. which I believe we were cleared of……and very little was mentioned by MFC about the breach of the amortisation policy ……and this was all presented by Bausor the CEO of MFC - and an EFL Board member!!!

  7. Whilst I appreciate it will be likely treated with contempt - I have sent the following email to Mr Parry and Mr Birch - it will get us no further forward I’m sure - but at least I’ve got it off my chest!!!  And now I can get behind the team this afternoon.

See you at 3pm COYR!!! ?

“Like many other Derby County fans - I gravely concerned by the current situation threatening my football club and I hope you are able to provide some clarity.  In a statement issued by our Administrators they state:

“The difficulty and currently, in our view, the last remaining significant obstacle is to deal with certain claims that are very much disputed but which we are being advised by the EFL cannot be currently compromised notwithstanding statute says otherwise.”

It is this paragraph which concerns me most. In essence it appears that the EFL Board is overriding statutory law in order to punish Derby County beyond what is fair and reasonable. I’d therefore like to ask the following:

    1. Is the statement made by the administrator’s of Derby County FC factually correct?

    2. If so, can you confirm which body within the EFL has reached this conclusion?

    3. Can you provide confirmation that this body has full independence in so far as any member of the Board or its nominated sub-committee which maybe presiding over this matter is not conflicted by way of ownership / interest / contract / membership of or to any of the parties bringing claims against Derby County?

    4. Can you share the specific articles of law or other legally binding agreement that are being relied upon to override what might be considered statute.

    5. Please provide evidence of how the EFL is acting impartially and has applied lessons learned from the sad demise of Bury FC in the handling of this particular matter.

    6. Please provide evidence of how the EFL is working to protect the interest of the thousands of innocent football fans affected by this ongoing punishment of Derby County Football Club.

On this point, it should be made clear that Derby County is more than a name, more than a pawn in an egotistical, power play - it’s an important part of many peoples lives - it does a huge amount to support the community it serves. The majority of these fans are victims and are angered and frustrated at the prior owners handling of matters.

So my final ask, is please do not let the actions of the privileged few be an incentive to punish thousands of innocent victims. The mental anguish you are causing the thousands of people now needs to stop. You have a duty of care which extends beyond your fiduciary duty to the member clubs.

Many thanks for taking the time to read this note.”

  8. Could Mike Ashley take ownership of the club - and the associated risks of the legal claim and then present a counter claim against both QPR and Villa who had breached FFP in the seasons we were beaten at Wembley. Surely, our case would be stronger than Boro’s we were one goal away both times. They were a couple of points, a 2-legged semi final and final away ??‍♂️

I honestly don’t think it’s the right thing to do - clubs suing me each other - but I just wondered if anybody knows whether it would feasible and have any legal standing?!

  9. A lot of companies are structured to run off debt …. and do it very successfully. So in my opinion whether this bloke is a billionaire or not is irrelevant - particularly in the championship. The killer question is does he have access to suitable and sustainable funds (debt or equity), does his business model allow him to service the debt (and make investments in the right areas). If the investors confident of earning a decent return over time and in the case of debt investor -  that when their debt matures the business will be able to pay that back……dare I say it….. with new debt and a different interest rate - then so what. As others have pointed out, having wealthy owner -  in the world of P&S is more challenging and ends up with higher risk strategies - where the owner maybe tries to stretch the boundaries beyond the affordable in the knowledge he could fund the higher consequence outcomes from personal wealth for a period of time.

Right now, I feel we’re crying out for someone who tries to run our club as a long term sustainable business - lives within the means - creates a stable environment for the management team to plan and evolve the team with investment. Rooney has made shrewd signings without a pot to p in so it’s proven he doesn’t need millions - he just needs to have clear communication from the club and know what he can work with in advance and plan accordingly.  And yes I’m sure that model will include selling players at the right price and the right time.

Whether Kirchner is the right man for the job - I don’t know. But at least he’s been communicated his intent and given us all something to get excited/cynical about!!

Yes Dava, if we do go down there will be 15000 plus of us fighting to get the  club back to where it belongs. Not incessantly moaning about what might have been. COYR

Thanks for clarifying- not sure I’d have referenced him as a king - but I get your sentiment …. and I’ll be there mate fighting alongside you COYR ?

Unfortunately these statements have to be very carefully worded - with no admission of liability by the directors.

A bit like if you have a car crash - your insurance company tells you to admit nothing.

    Is that you Mason? ?

On a more serious note - I get the explanation but thought the statement was poorly drafted - overuse of the word COVID.

  12. I’m genuinely appalled. MM takes no responsibility for it and blames the EFL (and a subtle pop at a someone there) and blames COVID-19. Sad times - a bit more humility by the owners would have gone down well. I get the scenarios laid out and don’t disagree - but surely they could have admitted to making some mistakes along the way which have served to exacerbate our situation!!

What do you suggest he do?

Forget, for a moment, how we got here. How do we move forwards?

Cannot sell a club that nobody wants to buy.

Do we take the EFL points deduction to get them off our backs? Will likely mean relegation.

    Go into administration? Calamatous.

Open a honest communication with the fans in which he declares: "we're in the poo poo". That'll attract season ticket sales and potential buyers.

So it's all very good demanding action from Mel .... But what exactly?

Bit harsh here pal. I think the OP is just expressing his sentiment and sadness at our current state. I don’t think he has demanded action - but merely expressed his dismay and the need for something to change.

From the outside looking in - most of us surely share this sentiment. Equally, as we are on the outside most of us don’t have sufficient information available to us to begin to know what that right course of action is.

Maybe Mel Is playing the long game and maybe he’ll be proven right and we’ll be ok in the end but right now it’s hurting to see our great club in this horrible horrible place.

  14. I know others are having issues - but I thought I’d share my positive experience - just in the interest of balance.

I sent an email around 8:00 this morning requesting a change of seat location for the 3 season tickets we have. Had the automatic reply come through via email acknowledging my request and then literally 5 minutes later a phone call from a helpful girl/lady who said the seats I’d requested to mover to had gone but she’d happily find me some others near by. So I opened up the buy Season Ticket section so I could see which seats she was referencing (and to make both our lives easier!). Found 3 different ones in under a minute and all done and confirmed. Very polite, very efficient, job done!!

Been back into my account just now and the reservations for the Stoke game were ready for me to download.

  15. I’ve had season tickets in all 4 stands since we moved to PP……..at various times - and for various reasons…..West Stand was my first place because as i had an older fan I went to the game with.

SW corner with my missus and a couple of our friends was the next stop when that used to be the “singing place” and we loved it.

Next stop, the North Stand because I started to bring my son (who I bought his first season ticket at the age of 3).

Then back to the SW corner because he said  “Daddy can we sit in the noisy corner” - which meant I had to teach him all the Derby songs with edits for the swearing”…for example “I’d fly over Nottingham Forest and sit on those barstools below”. I got away with it for a season or 2 before he twigged!! And the blokes who sat around us were brilliant with him (one bloke called Gerry was an absolute top class fella he moved behind the goal in the South Stand I think) he used to apologise for the lads for their swearing but I didn’t mind at all because it was my decision to sit there and I didn’t want to ruin their match day experience!!

Next stop East Stand - because of the reconfiguration of seating……but that bloody sun is just a pain when it shines and you’re squinting to watch the game. So we moved back to the South Stand and enjoyed the increased level of banter again.

But i also like to get really into the games and get a different perspective from time to time - so we moved back to the West Stand upper and I’ve loved it up there for the last few seasons (pre-lockdown).

I’m pretty sure I’ll move again at some point - not yet sure what the motivation will b .

BUT……the one constant in all of it - I love Derby County, I love the games and I consider myself no better or worse supporter than anyone else, just because of where I sit - and it’s does annoy me when a small minority give it loads because of where people sit and how they choose to show their support.

    Sorry for the ramble!! ??‍♂️

  16. Davies, Menghi, Morrison, Wisdom…..holding back for someone else in the forward positions who isn’t yet with us.

ps I know I’ve not quite stuck to the brief….but its football and nobody does!!!
