Bit like Pride Park, really, in that there's a good view from every part of the ground (providing you're not a foot shorter than the people in front of you, which seems to happen to me at most away games!)

Great, thanks Angie. I’m 6’6”, so if the person in front is a foot taller he’s escaped from the circus!

It’s a long way to Lincoln when you’re 💩 That chant made me laugh 😂 Enjoyed the match tonight. Had a pic with Rammie too 🐏

Lovely photo! But a disappointing lack of scraves and flanges. 🐏

Looks like they’ve sold out of individual cans but you can still get cases of 12.

I’ve got 6 in the fridge with 12 more on the way so you’d be welcome to grab one to try. I’ll be at the Lincoln game, I could hand it over before if you’re going.

Sutton Coldfield is Villa territory. We took it over a few years ago when one of our lot married a girl from that way on. We did the bounce in Sutton Coldfield town hall much to the amusement of our lad and the embarrassment of his new wife and her Villa supporting family. 🐏

I’m born and bred in Sutton so I’ve been surrounded by Villa all my life. They’re generally a good bunch (way better than the bluenoses!) and they’re loving life at the moment.

I remember it well, we used to have a coach to away games. I remember one season when we lost our first few away games by one goal and celebrated our first away point at Oxford in a nil nil draw. We also played a charity football match against Villa supporters with a football league referee, I was the emergency goalkeeper when the proper one didn't turn up. The club lent us an old first team kit and we won 4-1, if memory serves me right.

I remember us having one practice game first, against some trainee priests in Sutton Coldfield, in our pre-match talk in the dressing room, we all agreed not to swear and to be polite on the pitch. The dirty foul mouthed bunch beat us 2 nil.😂

I think my brother went on that coach a few times in the late 80s. Ed Dawes might have as well, although we didn’t know each other at the time. He’s a Sutton lad.

  6. I’m surprised there isn’t a West Midlands branch. There was in the 80s, I remember going to The Royal in Sutton Coldfield for a branch event evening with Graham Richards and Colin Gibson.

i can’t remember much else, other than the branch chairman went to prison for fraud. Honestly! Nothing to do with the supporters’ club, I think it was at his work. Maybe that’s why there isn’t a branch any more!

We know how Bolton play, lots of passing from the back building through the thirds. I think Pompey play a very similar style to us. A bit more direct and lots of pressing and energy. Very even game although that is miss of the season from Dion Charles

That’s one of the worst misses I’ve ever seen! 🤣

  8. Oh no, I’ve only just seen this. This is devastating news, B4 was a huge part of this forum and hopefully always will be. My son and I had the absolute pleasure of meeting him and his Dad at the services on the way to Wembley for the Villa game and we had a lovely chat. What a passionate, loyal, positive, upbeat guy. I didn’t know B4 like some of you did, but I wish I had. Thinking of all Daniel’s family and friends, RIP B4.
