  1. I’d heard of this beer - it’s apparently a bit of a legend. It’s won America’s best beer a number of times and it’s brewed in Santa Rosa, near where we’re staying. They had it in the restaurant we were in last night and it’s a banger. It’s an 8% double IPA, very tasty and carries its strength well but very bitter. Really nice, a little on the bitter side for my taste but it’s a great beer.

  2. I’m in Napa in California and we visited Fieldwork brewery. Tried their hoppy tasting flight and it’s everything I love about West coast beers. A great selection of strong, hazy juice bombs. They sadly don’t export to the UK, they’re only in California, otherwise I’d be stocking my fridge.

I thought exactly that watching the game. He didn't even look comfortable doing it. Had we pressed him from minute 1 we'd have surely got some change out of him. It took until about the 85th minute before we actually put him under any pressure whilst in possession. Kudos to Collins for clattering him.

I thought it was a definite tactic actually to not bother pressing their no. 5. We seemed to let him have the ball every time and he didn’t have much success with it from what I remember. He was a beast defending but pretty crap with the ball, so we let him have it on the basis he’d do nothing with it.

I was sat right next to dug outs today, never been that bear before. Such an interesting watch was Warne and his team. Barker shouts in the technical area, Hamshaw moans at the 4th, Warne ponders and Warrington organises the subs.

The best thing apart the win and Waghorn hat trick, Fornah absolutely loves it here. He kept on looking over at the away support in amazement. Then at the end coming off, huge huge grins when his song was being sung. He was absolutely buzzing for it. He's well and truly a Ram.

Yeah, I said that to my lad. He looked like he absolutely loved it today. He was one of the last off the pitch and had a massive smile on his face. Probably helped that he’s already got a song!

  5. Back from the game and enjoying a beer while reading through this thread. Kinder Jnr and I had to give MOTM to Waggy and it’s well deserved, but Tommo was a close second. He was everywhere, the best I’ve seen him play. His energy is invaluable and really helped us win the ball back and retain it. I loved it when he brought the ball half the length of the pitch second half and won a free kick on the edge of the box. Hourihane gave him a lot of praise for that.

I’ve seen Rooney get a lot of stick on here but I thought he had a good game. He was done for their goal (I think, as the cross came from his side), but the guy he was up against was very quick and tricky. Not sure there are many like him in League 1. Other than that I thought Rooney dealt with him well, although second half we were defending up the other end so I hadn’t got the best view. I really like the look of him.

I was very impressed with Nelson, his best game in a Derby shirt so far. Fornah looked classy when he came on, always offering himself for a pass and used the  ball well.

A pretty much perfect away day, the most I’ve enjoyed a game since Port Vale last year. The atmosphere was superb. Can’t wait for Bolton now.

It would be a right kick in the teeth if we wasted time with Waghorn, giving him minutes in friendly games for him then to sign for a rival team.

It would certainly bring into question Paul Warnes 'pull' if a player who has previously played for Derby, lives near Derby and has been training with Derby for 3 weeks goes and signs for a club 2 hours up the road 😆

Or a reflection of the financial position the club are in, where we’re not able to match another club’s wages / length of contract on offer. Pure speculation anyway, we don’t know what Waggy’s doing until it’s announced.

Wigan don't have a bad team, but will have plenty of young inexperienced players lining up in defence against us next week. It seems Hughes (19) and Morrison (20) will be their starting centre backs, possibly even playing infront of Sam Tickle (21) a young goalkeeper with just two senior starts to his name. In defensive midfield it's almost certainly going to be Smith (22) and Aasgard (21).

They do have some experience in attack - Lang, Wyke, McClean, McManaman, Humphreys, etc. Lang, Wyke and Humphreys have all proven they can score goals in League One. McManaman and McClean have had decent careers.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a 1-1 draw, but feel like Warne will fancy himself to gameplan an uncomfortable afternoon for a defence wet behind the ears.

Could be a challenge getting past Mr Tickle in goal!
