3 apps as per the date the agreement was made. So LThompson can make as many apps as he wants now and not count.

That’s a crucial point: so we can play as many of our academy as we want now, as long as they haven’t started three league games in their career?

    Under the new business plan

Can someone please clarify the new rules to me, there’s been so much conjecture and rumour that I’m not sure what to believe!

Can we use as many academy players as we want or is there still that ‘established player’ rule?

Dose of realism now needed i feel !! .

Capt Tom plays 1 good match in 20

We have 2 near 40 year olds at the heart of our defence

We dont have a proper decent striker not one .

We couldnt muster a proper go at barnsley which would have taken us above them in the first half at all ( this alone tells you everything you need to know )

Roll on the end of the season get us down , we are like a owner of a dog and that owner knows his dog should be taken to the vets to be put down ......hanging on in there hoping that when we get up the dog will be better .

It doesnt matter if rooney stays or goes , would prefer him to stay for HIS SAKE and ours , think he has won alot of people over with his attitude .

Mr Curtis Davies a manager in waiting of DCFC . Hope he sticks around with us perm in the background until that day comes .

Agreed. We're 6 wins (quixotically assuming the teams above us lose every single game) from even thinking about getting in the mix, putting that into context we've won 3 in 17 so far.

  4. Who are we most looking forward to get a chance from the academy? Ignore 'established player' and 'professional standing' or whatever for now.

Eiran Cashin is pretty much my favourite player based purely on how he seems a sound lad from one interview he gave.... dunno if he's actually any good or not.

I think Louie Watson might become pivotal next season and Isaac Hutchinson has already shown he's capable in lower leagues.

Dylan Williams looks a real prospect, and I'm looking forward to us properly bedding Festy in (assuming we don't have to sell off these two in Jan).

Stretton to bang them in now the pressure is off? Is Plange ready for a few cameos? Will Bart ever get there?

Why is Stearman playing attacking mid?

The first game I ever went to was Aston Villa at home. I don’t remember much about the game apart from this giant of a Centre back who, during the first half took a mid air ball under control, proceeded to do kick ups with it then took on the onrushing attacker and played and inch perfect 30 yard pass.

Open mouthed I asked my dad, “who’s that dad?? He’s amazing!”

He replied “Igor Stimac son, watch him as much as you can because it’s rare you get to see a true world class player playing for Derby and he won’t be here for long”

He’s been my all time favourite Derby player ever since, my god that side with Stimac, Eranio, Baiano was frightening

He got caught out about two minutes later and we conceded.

do not disagree that he might be the best but there were some good ones around that era

For me Poom and Eranio ran him close

For me though Tod still edges it

I guess sometimes it might be an age thing ?

Poom and Eranio were probably better players than Igor (maybe, statswise, I dunno, anyway..), but for me it was Igor being the start of something and so immediately* so incredibly instrumental.

That impact by one player won't be replicated for me, although probably heavily coincides with me being 11 at the time and just getting into football.

Very unpopular opinion and can hardly believe I'm saying it...

But I would get the points deduction sorted, get new owners in and hope they say 'Thanks for steadying the ship Wayne' and give Neil Warnock the job to keep us up, with a huge retirement bonus if he does.

He has proved he can have a big impact in the past and whilst he wouldn't stick around, I don't see Wayne happily toiling away in League 1, surely easier for him to blame us for being a basket case and hope someone gives him another chance elsewhere.  Plus, I have no confidence he would have the skills to get us out of that League anyway.

EFL: "Here's your points deduction for overspending"

DCFC: "Right, lets blow a load of wodge paying off Wayne, a big paycheck to entice Colin, and a massive retirement bonus"

I’ve seen him moping around the place when Cocu  wouldn’t pick him and when he did get picked he got injured for the rest of the season

    Was the injury mope related?

Absolute scumbag, how dare he want to play and then get injured - I'm assuming by your statement that his injury was his own fault?

  10. I find the Wycombe thing so odd, even their owner is half-arsed about the legal challenge:

Couhig told the Sun: "We have put it in the hands of the lawyers. They have made claims against the administrators. They have been made aware of that. Who the heck knows what happens next. It’s hard enough understanding American bankruptcy so I’ve got to get into British bankruptcy laws now.

I don’t know if we call it legal action. But a claim has been presented and is with all of the others. I don’t know if it’s secured or unsecured. It’s in the big jumble of things Derby have to deal with.”

  11. So say we get new owners and clear all the debt, what’s the max we can spend to put us close to FFP? We’ll need some investment in some players that are currently not overly well known but are having a good six months purple patch at their club. They’ll probably not come cheap mind
