In fact, he's spent $44 billion to be just as bad as Facebook. A platform I regularly contemplate removing.

Facebook went to the dogs years ago tbf. I get the sense it's not a particularly important part of Meta's long-term strategy.

You don't have to join in with it.

Celebrate a goal however you like.

Me personally, didn't even realise music was played when we scored.

Also, though the atmosphere was quite flat today.

I’ve never really joined in with it. It just sounds tinpot imo.

I've come to realise we are meant to clap in time to it (No easy task if SBW is anything to go by!).

I've absolutely no idea what the tune is.  I could neither name it, or hum it, as all I hear is a rowdy din.  🤷‍♂️

I hasten to add, it bothers me not, as there is plenty of other stuff to concentrate on immediately following a goal.

That’s the thing, we shouldn’t clap along to it! A goal celebration should be completely natural, and not a forced attempt at singing/clapping to a crap tune.

It’s the tune we sing for Conour Hourihane. If it only played when he scored, I wouldn’t mind as much.

Really more about this season's kit, but what exactly is FanHub, please?

They are sponsoring our training kit this season and next, but when I read about them on our website, I have no idea what they do.

Just an app on which you can log games you've attended, enter competitions, etc.

everybody talks about this england side like its a golden generation but the defence is terrible and thats the most important bit of international football.

kyle walker is englands only defensive player that is top class.

this england side will not be able to get the most out of its attacking players until we have a defence you can leave 1 v 1 at the back like top class players can be left.

arsenal for example are so good going forward at the minute because their defence doesnt need protection. Same with City and Liverpool. No team outside the top 3 have top class defenders

    Stones?

  6. Speaks about his time at Derby for around 10 minutes here (vid should play from the relevant section).

Few things I took from it:

    1) Too nice on the bald barsteward who shall not be named (not @David), and failed to mention that our spending that summer was what tipped us to near-oblivion

    2) While the permanent signings were largely poor value, the loan signings were well-targeted recruitment that deserve credit

    3) He did genuinely care about the club

    4) Beating Bielsa tactically in the second leg understandably boosted his confidence going into the summer (even if it was misplaced)

    5) He wasn't actually hugely bothered about Spygate, and just put up a bit of a front for the club

Oh god.  The inevitable sanctimonious pile-on.  And here's me thinking this forum couldn't get any more tedious.

It’s absolutely fair to criticise an experienced head for getting an avoidable suspension, in the middle of a crucial promotion run-in with minimal cover.

I suppose where the line is drawn between what’s fair criticism and what’s a sanctimonious pile on is subjective.

I had a great view of it, very blatant head butt followed by some handbags. He knew exactly what he was doing and what he had done was evident with him already storming off the pitch before the red was issued. Absolutely unprofessional to the highest degree.

Just like Tom Lawrence of old, opposition players know they can wind him up easily and he'll react. I'm sure we all remember him stupidly diving into a defender on halfway vs Rotherham moments after they'd easily won the ball from him. Straight red card, stupidity just like Bradley yesterday.

Difference being, Lawrence was never brought in to be an experienced leader. Doesn't excuse what Lawrence did, but Bradley was supposed to be better than this.

Hopefully, we'll go up and persuade him to stay. I'd mainly be annoyed that another decent player with resale value has walked away for nothing. A Prem team can offer him the big bucks though. What's he gonna be on? £5k p/w?

Even as a keeper, you get a short career in football. Can't blame him for wanting to earn as much as he can.

Yeah, if he's that way inclined he may be tempted to quadruple his money and sit on the bench (or worse) for a Prem team. He may have seen Scott Carson having the time of his life and wants a piece!

Listening to the Best Years of Our Lives album on my mates Dad’s reel to reel Saturday mornings before School Football matches was how I really got into music. It blew me away along with the sound quality on the reel to reel . RIP Steve

Love little stories like that. Part of what makes music so great.

    Two wrongs...

    Agreed.

Regardless of how many barstewards there are in the Reading, Boro, Wycombe, Birmingham and even Forest fanbases, there will still be many that are utterly devastated by the prospect of their club going under. B4 was one in a million, but each fanbase will have their own versions of him and others that don't deserve to go through that crap. I hope they keep their club.

I like your optimism. I'd hope for, as I say, better education to help people appreciate that they can make a fairer, kinder world. However I doubt I'll even see this 'smart (young) leader' let alone one that can formulate a dynamic policy. MPs seem to be some of the least educated of the lot! And they're now valued at about the same level as teachers?!

I do share a lot of your pessimism around MPs. Far too many careerists and, on the Labour side (not to get too political), people that seem to care more about winning the election at all costs rather than actually standing for anything. I'm hoping that will change after the election, but I won't be banking on it.

It also doesn't help that tech and AI policy isn't exactly an election winner, so there's not a huge incentive to tackle these issues.
